The water vapour steaming out of the hot springs looked like fat white slugs curling up and breaks apart with the air. When the night is too cold, it's great to take a dip in the school's hot springs...
Syani was leaning on a rock there, with a white towel on that rock. Only her head, shoulders, knees and her right hand holding up her Almaz are above the water's level, her long black hair floating on the water's surface.
Her face is deadpan, emotionless, while staring at the Almaz in her hand, reading the provided info of the new students enrolled in Diabolic Domain. The Almaz only offers the basic information about the students. Only their name, race, age and class appears on the screen, that's all.
When she read about Sen Kumo however, the half-vampire had been nothing but glum, even in that relaxing hot spring she's in. Maybe it's the fact that she just saw him at the Strawberry Fields, attacking Kaekeru the second he saw him, hearing him wanting Kaekeru to go to his home...
Sighing slightly, she switched into reading about the last one that arrived, Shiina Kumo. Seeing her race as a vampiress, Syani's eyes widen slightly. A small smile was lifted from her frown, "Wow... a female full vampire... ...I wonder if she's nice. Oh wait, she's a Kumo... ...I hope she doesn't have any hatred towards Kaekeru like that other vampire....."

Maki entered the female hot springs after getting undressed, a white towel around her, her hair back in a clip to keep it from getting wet. As she walked towards the water, she noticed the girl from the library was there.
"Hello." Maki said plainly as she stopped at the edge, slipping off the towel and letting it fall on the rock behind her as she climbed in, resting her head back on the edge and closing her eyes, a calm yet blank look on her face.

Syani snapped out of her emotionless state as she quickly tries to close her Almaz and saw a familiar blonde stepping inside the hot spring, "Maki, hi."
She was aiming to call her with a yell, but her gloomy state forbids her to do so. So, the half-vampire rests her head on the rock she's leaning on, closing her eyes also, "...Hey Maki, have you ever feel like there's something wrong when you're trying to fix something?"

"If something feels wrong about it, maybe it doesn't want to be fixed. It shouldn't be forced." Maki said plainly, keeping her head back and eyes closed.

Syani stayed silent hearing Maki's wise reply, before sighing with the water vapors steaming out.
"I guess you're right about that... Thank you, Maki."
Her mind was off somewhere, until a thought suddenly entered her head, "Hey...have you ever fly before? ...As in changing your form to a bird?"

Blinking, Syani nodded, "Whoah...fascinating," then she leans on the rock, staring up, "It must be nice to change into anything, huh?"

"At times." Maki said plainly, still remaining as she was, relaxing in the nice hot springs. 'I must come here again sometime...' She thought.

Closing her eyes, Syani exhaled loudly through her mouth, "...Oh yeah, Maki. Since I've heard from the guys at the library that you've read like...half the stock of books there... Do you know how to make a shield potion?"
Syani sat up from her rock and turned to the blonde, "Well, not the usual force field thing...or the one spell that use the energy around it... I heard about this potion-spell collaboration that is able create a special shield that can block the enemy's attacks, dissapears the exact moment the user attack the enemy, and reappears again when the enemy starts counter-attacking.. Have you heard about that?"
