Scouting the Area

[Makenzi]

Arashi and Kaoru sat at a corner table, eating lunch at a rather delicious looking Chinese restaurant. "Come on, Otouto-kun! Be excited about living in a new place for once!" Arashi urged his somewhat grumpy younger twin. "There ought to be plenty of gorgeous females around here to snack on." He added with a wink to Kaoru.

Kaoru glared at his brother from across the table. He wanted to say what he always wished he could when his brother talked about being with women. Kaoru knew better than anyone what kind of dangerous flirt his brother was, and he had always hated him, but could never leave him, for fear of what sort of horrible things Arashi might do if Kaoru wasn't there to stop him.

The younger twin sat, quietly eating his food as it was brought to him, glancing around every now and then but mostly remaining quiet with an annoyed or angry look on his face.

Arashi grinned as he saw a rather pretty girl sitting alone by another wall. "I will be right back." He said to his brother as he stood up and seemed to float with a sort of grace across the room and stopped right next to her table.

"Why hello, fair maiden. What might you be doing all alone in this enchanting restaurant?" He asked with his winning smile, a rather flirtatious and charming kind of grin.

Kaoru watched his brother walk over to the girl, pretending not to pay attention but watching from the corner of his eye to make sure Arashi didn't do anything to the poor girl as he ate, appearing rather apathetic and annoyed at everything, life in general.

Sitting alone at a table near a wall, Syani stared blankly at the tablecloth, seeming to be unaware of her surrounding. She's busy thinking about her recent problems, her hands holding each other on her lap.

The half-vampire didn't even notice Arashi stood right next to her table. It's until her red cloak she hanged behind her on her seat slipped off to the floor that she came back to reality, now noticing a grinning man beside her table...

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'll have the... uhm... well, anything with no blood in it, thank you," mistaking Arashi for a waiter, Syani tried to lift a grin, but could only manage just a small weak smile...

[Makenzi]

Arashi sat down at the table across from the girl, reaching out an taking hold of one of her hands. "The moment I saw you from the other side of the room, fair maid, I knew I just had to have you." He said with an enchanting tone and grin towards her.

Kaoru sort of glared, making a small "Cheh..." Sound out of annoyance, hating his brother to the very core everytime he tried those lame lines on nearly every girl he sees, and even worse when many of them actually fell for it!!

[Zephel]

Having her hand suddenly being pulled across the table, touching a dude's hand in the process, Syani's tired look dissappeared immediately as she pulled her hand back, staring strangely at this man...

"You...are a very weird waiter. And dude, I've never been 'had' before...so--" her sentence was cut short until a waiter appears beside the table, asking what both of them would eat, "Oh, a salad...or something without blood for me, please."

Then, the waiter turned to Arashi, asking him what he would like to order...[/color]

"Nothing for me right now." He said, watching the waiter then leave and grinning and Syani again. "As you may now see, fair maiden, I am not a waiter. I am but a simple lover who has come here to steal your delicate virgin heart." He said, grinning at her still.

[Zephel]

Syani blinked at him continuously, trying to understand what this guy is trying to say to her. Her clueless mind can't figure out what he means, but that grin of his is definitely scaring her...

"I'm really sorry, but I'm having a lot in my mind now... If you catch me at another time, I might--" she paused, noticing Arashi's cat ears. She tilted her head to the side a bit, then quickly grab her fallen cloak on the floor and took out a small palm-sized device, clicking on it before pointing a finger towards Arashi, "I knew it! You're Kaoru! Or Arashi...! I can't differentiate..."

Her tired expression drops immediately as a real genuine smile of hers appears, "You're a new student, are you?? Why didn't you tell me that earlier? Welcome to DD! My name is Syani!" she outstretched her arm for a handshake, "We never have twins before, so this is a great honor! ...Where's your brother?"

[Makenzi]

Arashi, now seeming rather caught off guard with Syani's actions, took a moment to compose himself before grinning coyly at her, taking her hand to shake. "A pleasure to meet you, fair maiden Syani. You may call me Arashi. My good for nothing brother is not around right now, but you need not think of someone so lowly as him. For I am here, another beauty such as yourself. We certainly belong together." He said in a charming tone, still grinning at her and holding onto her hand with both of his as he stared into her eyes.

[Zephel]

"Arashi. Your name means storm, and I can see you have something different in your eyes. Hmm..." she pondered as she shook his hand casually, trying to get rid of her sensitivity to skin-touch.

As he inroduced himself, Syani can't help but to frown a bit when he mentions his brother, "Hey, that's not nice to say things like--" she stopped her words immediately as Arashi holds her hand with both of his, and staring so creepily at her like that...

"What...?" Syani backs away a bit, wanting to slip her hands off of him, but that would be rude, considering she just met him, "Dude, I'm flattered by your charming words...I think...but you're mushy-fying me now. Could you please--" again, her words stopped, as the waiter returns with her dish...

Pulling her hand away again, the waiter then sets her dish in front of her. With a nod, she said, "Thank you, sir," before turning back to Arashi, "Have you eaten?" she asks, trying to change the subject.

[Makenzi]

"You are the only food I would ever need for the rest of time." Arashi said with his grin, ignoring most of her comments that impacted him negatively.

[Zephel]

Syani stared at him as he said that. That glint in his eyes never fades away. There was a pause from her, before slowly reaching a fork beside her dish, "Okay...that sounded wrong."

She was about to eat, but with Arashi across her table, looking at her, she can't bring herself to. Closing her eyes, Syani took a deep inhale, and sighed. A different flash of her eyes could be seen as soon as she opened them, "Arashi, you're handsome and charming, I give you that. ...But I'm different than other girls, 'cause I dodge...a LOT."

Smiling sweetly, Syani hangs her red cloak where she had placed back her palm-sized device to the armrest on her seat, then turns her attention to Arashi and shot him HER grin now, only more cheerful and childish, "I doubt that you could hit me with that glint in your eyes, Arashi-kun."

Based on her statement and that look in her eyes, it's almost like she's challenging the cat demon. Well, half of herself actually intended too, as she just mastered her defense spell only yesterday, and she's looking forward for some real practice. Heck, if anything goes wrong, she had already equipped some transporting vials in an easily reached section of her cloak... With a grin, Syani clutched her red cloak, in case he's about to do something she didn't expect...

[Makenzi]

"I promise. By the end of the month, you'll be begging for me." Arashi said, grinning with an almost sinister look towards her, as if he knew something she didn't. His voice seemed almost empty of emotions, replaced with a sort of sadistic amused tone as he watched the girl in front of him, rather amused by her and ready fully to accept her challenge.

[Zephel]

"Oh yeah? Don't make promises you can't keep, dude. What you just said is NOT gonna happen," twiddling the fork around her fingers, Syani smirked, never noticing his tone of voice seemed almost like a threat. Her fork fell on her salad bowl as an idea entered her insane head...

"Well, to make things more interesting, let's have a bet," Syani sounded confident when she stated that, locking her hands together under her chin using only her fingers with her palms apart, "If by any chance nothing happens by the end of the month, meaning I win...then you have to do whatever I say," she smiled sweetly at him when suddenly something small explodes right between the two.

It releases a bit of black smoke, almost like soot, in the air. Syani's eyes widened, now staring at a floating, glowing, seemingly old piece of paper in front of her, "Oh shyte no." The half-vampire looks annoyed, as she tries to smack that glowing paper out of her view, only to get her hand flying right through it.

"Agh, dammit. Why does this blood pact kept following me whenever I'm betting with someone?!" after a moment of maintaining her anger, Syani then turns to Arashi, sighing that she has to pull him in this awkward situation, "Okay, Arashi, listen and listen good. First, let me introduce you to my floating contract. Floating contract, Arashi. Arashi, floating contract. Get to know each other, it's going to tie you up for the whole month thanks to your 'promise'."

Now with a hand handling her forehead, Syani massages her temples a bit before continuing, "Secondly, let me tell you what's happening. This piece of flying papyrus-originated paper is able to store our bets, and when the betting period ends, it will make both of us follow what we bet on, according to who wins of course...or it will hex us for the rest of eternity...maybe even after we die it'll still hexing us. ...All it needs now to complete the pact, is your part of the bet and a bit of our blood for tracking purposes."

The raven-haired then nodded weakly at the man in front of her, "So say out your bet and we're in a blood pact agreement, stormy."

[Makenzi]

Arashi gave a somewhat cold stare at the paper before grinning at Syani with a slight chuckle in his throat. "I don't need to bet anything to get what I want, fair Syani." He said a bit quietly to her as he leaned close.

"I will have you." He said as he stood, grinning down at her and reached for her hand, taking it firmly in his and bringing it near his lips. "Til next we meet." He said, placing a kiss upon the back of her hand before releasing it and walking away.

As he past the table where his brother sat, he merely glanced coldly at Kaoru and ordered him to pay for the food and collect what's left in take out boxes for later. Arashi didn't so much as bother to stop or smile. A hard glare had etched its way into his face for a moment as he exited the building.

Once going through the door, the expression wiped away as he grinned at the afternoon sky, walking causually on his way.

Kaoru asked a passing way in a cold voice for a take out box or two and stood up as he got them, packing up the food. He let out a sort of sigh as he looked over at the girl from across the room, a cold look on his face but a sincere look deep in his eyes, as though feeling sorry for her.

He picked up the boxes and began to leave, glancing back at the girl as he went, paying at the front desk then leaving the building and heading to take the boxes to their dorm to store it for later.

When Arashi replied that he doesn't need to bet, the paper vanishes instantly as Syani's eyes grow wide and a smile formed itself on her lips, "Really?! Oh, thanks! I really hate that--" she paused as the cat demon leaned in close, just to say that almost spine-chilling 'I will have you' statement. The half-vampire backs away, now slanting a bit on her chair as she could feel the fabric of the chair touching her back.

Before she realized it, Arashi had already found her hand as her muscles jolted at the sudden touch. When he kissed her hand though, Syani tried her hardest to control herself from twitching. She felt so relieved to see him walking off and at the same time thankful that she wore her 'explosion-prevention' choker, since any skin touch would usually freak her to the point of accidentally causing atoms to break apart with her telekinesis. But then...when she looked back at her hand which Arashi just touched, her eyes widened.

"What...the..."

It's shaking... Her hand is quivering...violently. The half-vampire gasped slightly. This never happened before. She brought out her other hand beside the trembling one, and strange enough, it doesn't vibrate at all like the other hand. Her eyebrows creased in confusion, witnessing this odd sign her body is trying to prove. She tried to handle a spoon, but her fingers can't even form a strong grip to the object as the silver ornament fell on the floor. Panicked, she tried to rub her quivering hand to stop it from shaking, but to no avail.

Despearte, she looked up just in time to see a person with cat ears similar to Arashi carrying take out boxes and exiting the restaurant. Standing up from her seat, she finds it too late to call for him, so she quickly grabbed her cloak with her one reliable hand, hand in a coule of bucks to the front desk with the same hand after much difficulty, and exited the restaurant swiftly. Her head swung from left to right, searching for a peculair cat demon, and fortunately there aren't many people in this time of day, so she spotted a light-haired person in the distance rather easily.

"Oh, hey! Hey!! Wait!!" she called, and started to run after him, but she hasn't even ran half the distance when she tripped on the red cloak she's holding and very characteriscally fell flat on her face, "OW!!!"
