Syani has to admit, she felt like she wanted to pinch this kid's cheeks when he started apologizing, waving his hands vigorously. It's strange actually, maybe it's his odd-colored hair? Or is it he's just adorable like that? Well, whatever the reason, it's working, since her wrath subsided.
That is...until, he managed to bring the subject up again. Blood rushed quickly up the half-vampire's face as she clenched her jaw tight, then stood on her knees, glaring furiously towards this boy. "I SAID DON'T EVER BRING THAT UP!!!!" And she soon found her hands clutched tightly at the sides of the boy's face, wanting to just dug her fingers in his skin.
"Aaargh!!" The girl, unable to restrain her emotions, just shook Arche's head like a milkshake, her face flushed in anger and embarrassment. "What part of EVER do you not understand??!!"

Arche knew what was to come. He knew it all too well that he actually allowed the girl to have her way in ‘shaking him’ and denied his demon-reflex the opportunity to avoid it. Either that or Syani’s just incredibly fast he thought he had time to dodge her attack. He decided it has to be the former. “Acck @_@;” pretty much still shaken up, Arche somewhat gagged at the words he intended to be delivered coherently.
Come to think of it…there hasn’t been any fiery discussion inside his head for quite a while either. This in a way alarmed the shape-shifting boy; normally he should be celebrating this break from madness but he doesn’t trust the silent treatment either. After that merciless milkshake-jiggle, he fears that the voices will never permit him to have a peaceful sleep tonight and the other nights to follow ever again.
He sighs, massaging his temple and trying to lighten up a smile. “Again I’m deeply sorry!” The bi-coloured head apologised again. He was THIS close to mentioning ‘because the voices in my head made me do so’ but then decided against it. It already sounded mental in his head; Arche wouldn’t want to run the risk of embarrassing himself if he blurts it out too.
“And I’ll try to keep that in mind—I mean out! I mean I’ll remember not to bring it up >.<;”
Regaining composure, Arche Kraine looks up and begins assessing the girl in front of him…and now, understanding why she might be being chased down by those obsessed multitude. The girl is a definite looker—someone that could easily grab your attention, heart and money perhaps? Plus she has that distinct smell the young demon couldn’t point his finger into yet. “Say…you’re not of human kind are you o.0?” He asked unabashedly.
“By the way I don’t think I’ve introduced myself, name’s Arche ^o^;”[/color]

Syani paused her current headshaking act, blinking down at this (ADORABLE!) boy as he apologized again. She can't help to take a few glances at his bi-coloured hair, and averting her gaze from the boy's eyes a couple of times too. "...Oh! Sorry, lack of outlets. My bad." The dark-haired then quickly releases his head, backing away using her knees and let gravity pulls her to sit down on the soil, completely ignoring the countless debris and unconcious humans around them. "Oh, and...sorry about the whole near-death thing, I led them right to you...and I choked you for it... Ugh, sorry about that. Anything I can do to get that back to you...?"
Hearing his question, Syani creased her eyebrows. "I'm half of that. And since you're asking, I'm guessing you're a sort of demon, perhaps?" She pointed at the boy's hair curiously, just before he introduced himself.
"Oh yeah!! Right, I haven't introduced myself too! I'm Syani, pleasure to meet you, Arche." She beamed a smile, then quickly motions to his hair. "Is that natural or dyed??" ...It almost seems like she finds the boy's hair more interesting than the boy himself...
Of course she does. Not everyday she sees people with white AND black hair...and this kid's looks about, what, 13? 14 maybe. Which makes him so adorable sporting that awing hair. "Dude, seriously, if I'm drunk or something right now, I would've pinch your cheeks to no end. How old are you?"

Arche tried not to choke. Or blink. Or give any hint that he was caught off guard that moment by such a…blunt statement. He almost forgot her previous inquiries when the curious half-human beside him bestowed him a compliment, or so he would like to think.
Apparently, owning a bi-coloured hair AND a pinch-able cheek in this lifetime is almost paralleled to being some kind of a high powered yellow mutant [never even considered for mass production frankly because it’s too rare to live and too rare to die either] in the next.
Is that how the world regard him and his uncanny locks? Hopefully not.
“Nice to meet you too Syani.” The demon kid returns her warm smile with one of his, a smile that fills his eyes and not just settles on lips alone. “And yes I am a shape-shifting demon, fifteen years young and believe it or not this is my natural colour.” He supplies in one go.
Arche now anticipates a cynical look on her face, the quirking of her left eyebrow and the slight purse of her lips as he shares the story of his life. Even his childhood friend has called him ‘freakshow’ more than he can count while another has accused him of having too much milk when he was a baby that the white in the dairy product has all but gone to his head, and ultimately clung to the roots of his hair. Permanently. How bloody rude!
But then again, a stranger’s [usually but not always single-minded and condemning] reaction would be just as bad if not worse. “What about you? You’re half-human and half what?” The younger of the two asks, his natural curiosity all but propels him to learn more about Syani.
Suddenly remembering her first question, Arche examines the once-upon-a-time-standing-night-club and gives it an incredulous look that clearly says ‘Near-death thing? Are you sure there’s nothing personal about that?’ “Nope, I think you’ve done more than enough ^^;”

"Shapeshifting demon?!!" Loud enough to wake up the whole population of those half-dead humans lying around, Syani blinked incredulously at this kid. "You serious?! Wow!! I've only come across demons like that in books and reference pictures but..." Slightly leaning back and caressing her chin like rubbing an imaginary beard, the dark-haired girl arched brow. "You look nothing like in those pictures. In fact, you look a lot less frightening. Wow kid, you're one of a kind. Oh, and awesome hair, by the way."
She pointed out her thoughts, no restrictions, while giving a thumbs up. He's a shapeshifter, that's a huge boost to learn about this child...er, teenager, as of his said age. ...Hold up, fifteen?! Her smile slowly wears off, the thought of his age slowly dawning into her dense head. "Wait, fifteen?? Why are you here? In a night club, of all places??" Eyes widening, Syani's about to ask of his parents, when the kid beats her to it by questioning her half-species...and successfully distracting her from her prior shock.
"Oh, can't you tell? I'm half a vampire." Followed by that answer is a toothy grin, revealing her now visible vampy-teeth, as she called, but rather small if compared to normal vampire teeth. "And by being half of that species, was hunted for the past-- ...I dunno...I lost count of how many years. And as you can see from the angry mob earlier, I'm pretty much sought-after to get staked in the heart, or burn in the middle of a large group of villagers. ...Wait, stop drawing my focus away! Where's your parents??" Shaking her head, the half-vampire tries to sharpen her focus on this guy.

“Vampire?!” Now it’s Arche’s turn to yell, his yellow-ish orbs gleam in excitement it is as if the very mention of the bloodsucking specie was interpreted as sugar, spice and everything nice in his head. He moves closer to have a better view of the notorious fangs and truth be told, they’re the most immaculate pair he’s ever seen so much so that he can’t help but ogle at it. But then she mentions something about her being chased down—and not in a good way at all.
“Hunted?!” Despite the difficulty of applying raw emotions into a lawfully constructed sentence, it is apparent that the tone in his voice carries more than he intends to show; surprise and sympathy. Arche is no stranger to myths but to actually hear them leap from fiction to fact overnight just doesn’t quite sit on him well. She could be one of those vamp-kids he played with when he was younger and the thought of them being killed perturbs him.
He now stares at her like a guppy that had just been fished out of the water, gasping for air. Syani doesn’t seem to be taking it far too seriously however, and he supposes that should bother him more? Changing into an affable façade in a heartbeat with a boyish air in him, “Don’t you think being stabbed in the heart is a little bit too much in these contemporary days?” he asks, simply because dwelling on the past and getting depressed over it isn’t his forte.
“The irony is I have all the more reason in the world to be hunted, seeing I could shapeshift into literally anybody, and yet I’m not ^^;” Arche scratches his nose, slightly amused at this new-found coincidence; something that would make anyone question the bored civilization and its creativity at best. Letting out a hearty chuckle, “You’re not bad of a vampire either Syani, and hey I could be menacing too if I choose to be!” Arche claims, pouting.
Well that is half the truth really. Of course being in the growing phase of his life, shapeshifting also improves alongside the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth of its user’s body. Similar to wine, it’s an ability that gets better in age. In the demon child’s case, the fermentation process is taking quite its time. Anywho, going back to her last inquiry, Arche can’t help but to stare at her stupidly. “Err what about my parents and the night club o.0?”[/color]

Syani backs away by the sudden outburst of her species the child just yelled out, eyes widening at the fullest extent. Supporting her slanting body with her palms behind her, the dark-haired didn't expect to receive the same mirrored expression from this boy. Why, the last person she told about her species grabbed the nearest shotgun and chased her away, yelling something in the lines of 'You suck! Get away from my neck!!' ...Syani's a vampire, of course she suck, her mental voice said reassuringly. And now, seeing the first ever person in her god-forsaken life actually staring in awe of her small fangs, Syani doesn't realized that she's blankly smiling unconciously at this boy.
Adding up to her surprise shock is the worry Arche displayed through his tone of voice when she mentions she's being hunted. That subconcious smile on her face widens. Really, growing up with others detesting her half-blood state makes her so dissapointed she was born this way...and yet, this child is actually caring enough to (unintentionally perhaps since he's a dude) exposing sympathy to her unfortunate hardships. Her guess was right, he's trying to conceal his genuine actions according to how suddenly he changed his facial expression.
"Y-yeah, I know. I guess they really want to stick to the traditional methods in wiping out a vampire. Heh... And you should be grateful you're that lucky, Arche. Being a shapeshifer sounds so much more fun... You can be a different person every day!" Sitting up from her slanting position, Syani grinned at his fortune, namely...great hair, awesome species, adorable appearance...
The half-vampire couldn't restrain herself anymore when Arche declared he can be menacing, plus that pout, giving birth to a fangirlish side of Syani as she squealed, balling up her fists under her chin and her eyes sort of widens with these...starrish sparkle present here and there around her face. "You are just TOO CUTE~!!!!"
Good thing he's a guy, or she would've advanced to him and pinching his cheeks to no end. But then, his question about the link of his parents and the night club shattered her fangirlish moment quickly. "What?? You mean your parents really allow you to come to a night club...?? But...but you're only 15!" Gaping wide at this boy, Syani blinked at him incredulously.

“Yep! Shapeshifting is really fun!” the male demon proclaims with overjoyed gusto, his eyes sporting an unexpected sparkle on them and a hearty grin that couldn’t get any wider. “Oh wait, you’re a vampire right? Does that mean you can shapeshift too? You know, to bats, wolves, cats, puffs of smoke and alluring mistresses?” the bi-haired boy asks, boldly fascinated. Well at least that’s what he heard from the stories of his late big brother Alviss, who’s notoriously known in their village as the biggest pathological liar who won’t stop at nothing.
Courtesy to Syani’s ‘cute’ remark, Arche almost slipped from his sitting position, which would’ve totally hurt considering the explosion from earlier made a fine job of turning a perfectly smooth, dancing zone into a pile of rock-strewn surface, completely scandalized at the half-breed’s sudden proclamation. Or has it been going on for a while now? Instead, he uncharacteristically blushed in a bright, bright pink. Thank Heavens for his long fringe covering most of his face.
“W-why would you say that o.0? Anyways,” he stutters but is quick to change the topic not waiting until something else occurs to her. The things girls come up with these days will forever be a mystery to him, he concludes. Arche then turns his gaze to the starless sky, “I’m not really following what you’re saying but my parents are not here and even if they are I don’t think they’ll mind wherever I go.” He admits, tilting his head back to Syani, watching her long hair akin to his dance to the melody of the night breeze. The heck? And now he’s becoming a poet too?
Raking his hair, “Plus, I think this place just ticks all the right boxes for my father,” Arche chuckles lightly at the very thought of his family and the night club in one sentence nigh in one place. It would be an interesting plan to see in motion so to speak. “It’s loud and grimy and has got no manners. Yep, my dad will become an instant fan of this place no doubt about that ^-^;”[/color]

Syani's smile sulkily subsides as Arche bombards her with his questions. Really, the boy's fascination both amazed and cheered her up...but, the pale fact of she is unable to attempt any of the things he just listed dragged her mood down. "Now, now, remember. I'm HALF a vampire." Lifting her hands in defence, the dark-haired forced out a smile. "That means I don't have every ability normal vampires have, like shapeshifting being one...but um, I know a couple of pure vampires here that can do that. You want me to introduce you to them?"
Being clueless and blurry to a fault, Syani didn't even take into account of how bright the guy's complexion is turning into...much less realizing it. When Arche turned his attention back to the dark-haired after a moment's gaze upwards, Syani's eyes are already wide...with sparkles, a pout, a sniff for dramatic effects, and her hands clasping each other under her chin. "Your parents DIED??" Well, that was sensitive.
The mentioning of his father being fit right in this place made the half-vampire tilted her head. She can't even tell if that's a joke or not. Well, at least she can straighten one thing in her mind. "Dude, what did life DID to you...?" A little bit too general, but sums up almost all the questions she has in store for the shapeshifter.

Arche felt an irrationally wide smile starting to itch at the corner of his lips. It wasn’t long before he came to this place that he had to leave again so he didn’t really had the time to explore DD and know its residents to the fullest, and knowing that second chances are rare, he ought not to miss this opportunity for the world.
It didn’t sound like there’d be a catch to her offer either. “Really? Sure of course definitely why not! COUNT ME IN!!” The shapeshifter answered, the gleam never left his eyes. That’s when the reality of what she said sunk in to him. Suddenly feeling like he treaded a sensitive spot, his smile drastically ebbed away. “Oh, you can’t? I’m sorry.”
Meanwhile when she asked about his parents, there wasn’t a response on his part for a while. Arche just stared at her, dumbfounded; fear was surging into his irises. “They did?!” He asked, surprised and confused by the same token. “Actually I meant them not being here physically but if you mean something else, please, by all means do tell me @_@;”[/color]

Syani burst out laughing. How many people responded like THAT when she mistook their parents passed away, by asking her back if they did die. ...Only this kid, as far as the centuries-old age allows her to know. "I thought they died because you were looking up to the sky!" Laughter diminishing into chuckles, the half-vampire shook her head. "Really, Arche, you're pretty amusing."
Right after that, the dark-haired pushed herself off the ground, dusting her skirt a bit before outstretching a hand to the child. "Come on. It's nights like these vampires prefer to take a walk outside. Maybe if we take a stroll, we might bump to one of them." She like this kid. She can't tell why, but he emits this sort of pleasant aura around him...not the hair, nor the adorable face, or the mirthful attitude...maybe it's that sparkle in his eyes.
Well, whatever her reason, she wants to learn about this shapeshifter anyway, so smiling down at Arche, Syani nodded at him. "Want to hunt a few vampires?"

Arche seemed rather relieved after hearing that his parents’ deaths are postponed for a while longer or Syani might have just witnessed his hysterical side that cries, throws a fit and screams that could rival of a banshee. Just like his late big brother. And the one time some girl Alviss only met for the first time decided to call it ‘quits’. And behold, the unsightly scene that unfurled after that.
“Okay.” He then nodded at her considerate offer to look for vampires before standing up, brushing off his pants of any dust and gum and whatnot that may have unconsciously attached itself to his clothes the entire time he was sitting down.
The rain wielder took another evocative glance at the burned down night club; feeling utterly responsible at the place’s current state, which he already predicted to upset an exaggeratedly huge fan base when the news of its temporary [somewhat on the verge of being permanent from the looks of it] closure reach them.
Arche could only mutter an inaudible ‘sorry’ more specifically to the loud-drunk-then-sleeping-dude-now; he figured perhaps being an arse is actually genetic and therefore there’s really no point putting all the blame to a chap who’s so drunk he’s probably not even aware of half the sh*t he’s doing. And if he ever was, God save him from the inescapable wrath of the grapes the next morning.
After a long while he broke the silence with a soft “Have I ever thanked you yet?” to the woman in front of him. Arche didn’t understand it then but maybe, just maybe, talking to another half-human being upped his sanity back to the game again. He thought about his brother more and heard from the voices less tonight after all.[/color]

Syani walked by the spiflicated building, only half caring about it as her mind's already flashing back to the last buildings she managed to demolish...that Green Cab restaurant with Sasuke trying to obliterate her, the men's toilet with a tree, the meditation room's roof with gravity... Well, the half-vampire's not going to be surprsied if Tyr ended up joining the mob.
While the girl's busy dividing a new plan on how to escape the administrator's wrath of 'Syani, I need MONEY' lecture, Arche's faint voice brought her back to the world her feet is touching. "Hm?" She glanced to the back, eyebrows arching high as she takes her time registering his question in her head.
"Why do you even need to?" Countering back his question with her own, Syani swiveled her whole body to face the shapeshifter and blinked, walking backwards as she did. "I graciously brought you an expected death, which you saved me from. I owed you MY thanks, dude."

“Ah. Say what now?!” Arche was confuzzled [confused + puzzled to the highest level]; partly because he was only prepared to accept a ‘yesser’ or a ‘nosser’ and anything outside that scope would be automatically rejected by his reasoning. Okay, so it was a big mistake to actually give this girl the liberty to remind him things, the demon child reminded himself.
He paused briefly when an idea popped in his head; a devious plan that would allow him to speak his mind without any interruption [well maybe a violent reaction but that’s something he’ll deal with later] from Syani. The point, is she will learn how to take him seriously this time.
Arche then suddenly grew his hair shorter/spikier [still sporting that bi-coloured locks] his body tonner and his yellow eyes far brighter. In short, the demon shapeshifter morphed into someone he could actually see himself turning into, a decade from now.
(See i43.tinypic.com/30ubt5u.jpg for a better insight.)
“Well sweetheart I don’t think that’s going to be enough to stop me from thanking you anyway.” Complemented with a deep voice even, a new and improved Arche moved closer to the half-breed until they were only hairsbreadth apart. Thanks to their proximity, he saw her blushed and whether that was from embarrassment or pent-up anger, he decided not to push his luck and settled on patting her head instead, taking advantage of his height.
“Thanks.” He finally said, voice possessing all the seriousness in this world, and as quick as the blink of an eye, the bi-haired male transformed back to his boyish form and purposely jogged passed the vampire girl, leaving her no time to argue back or hit his shoulder, whichever she preferred doing first. And then he called out, “C’mon, what are you waiting for Syan-chan?!”
[End thread.] A million thanks to the special participation of the following; (Because if not for their crazy obsession, we wouldn’t be here in the first place either!)
Drunken dude & Ze angry mob.
