[Kida]

Kida all but threw herself to the ground with a huff. Why, oh why had she vowed to her mother that she would learn this stuff? For crying out loud, all she'd done was move out and suddenly she had to start making vows. Her mother was just paranoid.

There was no way Kida was going to get any good as this water works thing-ama-bob. It just wasn't her thing here, martial arts was. Who cared about their small time tradition? She could already defend herself, so she didn't need it.

"Kyuu" Bec, her mini, chirped and hopped to her side.

"Ugh....Later..." Kida had barely gotten here before the promise had started to naw at her relentlessly. Guilt had carried her here before she'd even gotten a good look around this new place. She supposed there would be time for that later, but she really wanted to look now.

For now Kida would just take a break, lying on the grass, watching the clouds float by. She hoped there would be something of great interest here, maybe some good comic shops with a few rarities, maybe some really cool people. Kida hoped so, huffed and closed her eyes.

[Takato]

It was a nice day outside. Perfect for Takato's cat nap. The sky was calm. The wind was soft. Who wouldn't curl up in a ball and fall asleep. Especially Takato, be the lion demon he was. It was Just a perfect day for a nap. Takato then slowly woke up licking his paw, so that he could wipe his forehead. He then started walking around. Still somewhat sleepy, staying in his lion form he shock loose the dirt that was all over him, from sleeping on the ground. As he then started walking threw the tall grass. Feeling as groggy as he did. Maybe he should walk down the to water hole.

'man, its been so boring lately, no new people at all. Just NEW teachers! C'mon where are the babes!' he thought to himself. Just Then he saw a woman laying in the grass. "Oh, so this is where they go' He thought scanning her for a second. Takato then started to crawl in her direction. "Why hello there," The lion finally stepped out of the grass. "What might a fine young lady like yourself be doing all alone all the way out here" he said smirking devilishly

[Kida]

"JESUS H CHRIST!" Kida's eyes popped open and she almost jumped out of her skin. She'd let her mind wander as usual, but this time she'd come seriously close to just dozing off in the middle of no where. Damn, what her brother said was right, what kind of fighter let people sneak up on them?

But turning in the direction the voice had come from there was no person, just a lion. She blinked. Okay, either she'd fallen asleep and was having a ridiculously realistic dream or that lion had talked to her. Kida was seriously banking on the second one. "Uh....Hello." She plopped back down, crossing her legs. "I'm not alone." she jabbed her thumb behind her where Bec was staring at them, a little startled from Kida's shout.

"Why? Is it weird to run into others around here?" Damn it, Kida, this is why you look around and get an idea of a place before letting your guilt make you do other things. She chose to conviently forget that she had just been earning to wander around earlier for the purpose of finding a comic shop.

[Takato]

Takato then smirked. Watching her jump out of her skin. He'd never suspected her to jump like that. "Didn't mean to startle you" he said Smirking. God he couldn't hold it in. It was too much. He let out a chuckle. This was the 2nd! time he'd startled someone in a WEEK!! coincidence.... i think not. Takato then followed her thumb saying.

"Oh, so your not alone." He smirked at her. He'd seen a few of these 'things' every now and then. He always thought of getting one himself, but he liked being alone alot and didn't think he himself was ready to take care of another life. "Well good, I'd hate anything to happen to a pretty lady like you" He said. He suddenly then walked over in her direction. Acting as if he were a cat he started rubbing against her purring a bit.

"Why? Is it weird to run into others around here?" he heard her say.

Takato shook his head. Still purring at her, rubbing his soft fur against her. "No, people come out here, its just they're not as pretty as you" He said smirking at her

[Kida]

Kida watched him cautiously as he approached, then almost fell over when he first started rubbing himself against her. That was a surprise. "Uh...Thanks." She said a little unsure. Well, he was complementing her so she should use her manners. But still, she was a little uncomfortable being so close to someone she'd just met.

She shifted to her knees, stood, then took a step back. Cocking her head to the side she looked at him. He looked like a normal lion, but looks were so often deceiving weren't they? When she heard Bec 'kyuu' behind her, she turned and picked him up. Kida didn't know the little dragon's personality that well yet and didn't know if he might be afraid of the new guest.

Craddling Bec in her arms Kida asked, "What's your name?"

[Takato]

"They call me Takato" He said bowing his head. Takato then transformed into his human form. So that maybe she could get a little more comfortable? Taking her hand kissing it lightly.

"And what would you're name be? Pretty lady" He said smirking at her.

[Kida]

Takato...Takato, Takato, Takato. she told herself so she wouldn't forget. She would have studied his face at the same time to implant the memory, but as a lion, well he looked like any other to her. However an instant later he had morphed into a human. Kida's mouth was a little agape as she blinked.

"Wow..." For a moment she just stared at him. Then realizing he'd ask her a question, "Oh, uh...Kida. Sorry, my name's Kida. I've never seen anyone do that before. Cool." It took her a few seconds more to process the fact that he had indeed taken her hand and kissed it. The act of a gentleman, yes, but his expression was a little bit for the stereotypical 'traditional gentleman'.

Bec, on the other hand, had noticed immediately when part of his craddle had been snatched away by the new comer. His little eyes glared at the man, but he did nothing else, not willing to leave Kida's arms.

[Takato]

Takato chuckled as he then let go of Kida's hand. "Easy there buddy I mean no harm" Said Takato smiling at the Fire-lizard. Takato chuckled at kida's comment. She said 'Cool' to the fact that he can transform from a lion to a human. What was she an alien?though that would explain the zoning out. Maybe She was checking him out. Or maybe, just maybe she was totally freaked out? He didnt know. "Oh so you like that huh?" He teased

[Kida]

"Yeah. I mean, I've heard of the ability of course, but I've never gotten to see someone actually transform before. Unfortunately I come from way out in the boonies. Small towns where you rarely see anything exciting." Kida smirked at him, "So a lion, huh?" she chuckled.


Bec sniffed and shifted in Kida's arms, finding a more comfortable position.

[Takato]

Takato smirked at Kida. "Yeah, Just what ever you do, dont call me kitty, It's insulting" Said Takato. Small towns, he knew all about that. Takato grew up in one, watching over his mother and his sister. But that was a different story.

"Thats a cute little bugger, you got there, whats its name?" He asked smiling at the fire lizard

[Kida]

Kida shifted her arms and her bundle and tried not to snicker. Kitty? Oh and that was a good one too. Hopefully she could think up something else to call him if not Kitty. "His name is Bec. And excuse him, he's a bit of an attention hog." As if to agree he just snuggled deeper into Kida's arms.

"So....Are you going to purr if I scratch you behind the ears?" she laughed. "Or are all feline instincts for strictly feline form?"

[Takato]

Takato smirked. For unfortunately, he would indeed start purring. sometimes his feline instinct would just take over and he wouldn't be able to control himself. But, he wasn't going to tell her that! Putting on his came face He smirked at her. "Actually, I find that quite hot" He said smirking at her.

[Kida]

"Purring or that I would scratch you behind the ears?" she inquired. Bec was starting to squirm too much in her arms that she just helped him climb up onto her shoulder where he could perch. "Or maybe behind the ears is too much of a 'dog' thing for you, eh?"

It put a whole new meaning to the phrase 'cat person'. All dog references would be noticed and possibly begrudged on his part. But Kida started to wonder the most ridiculous things, like if he had a thing for catnip. Or if he ate raw meat in human form. Whatever the answers were to those questions Kida was almost certain he'd have a feline response to a canine. Kida couldn't help herself, she snickered, "Meow."

[Takato]

"Are you kidding me! dogs like their butt scratched!" Said Takato as She was now meowing at him. He knew she was playing but it was kind of.... hot. Takato was now lost for words, He really didnt know what to say to her. I mean what do you say to someone who's meowing at you! 'Glad to see someone's having fun with this' Thought Takato sweatdropping.

"Are you meowing because you have the hots for me?" Said Takato smirking at her.

[Kida]

Kida snickered. "Sorry, I'm trying to hold myself back. But you're basically a big," KITTY! "...cat." she said instead. "And I've been on the road awhile, haven't spoken with another person in a long time." With emphasis on the word 'person'. Before Bec she'd actually found herself talking to the plant life she would pass, so desperate for some form of communication.

But then Kida stepped back and surveyed him from head to toe. "Although....It'd be possible for me to develop the hots for you. Not too bad looking--" KITTY! Damn it all! Why did he not want to be called by the one thing she felt the urge to call him? "Takato." Again she supplied something other than what was on her tongue.

"But whether that would actually happen would depend."
