Run and Go Seek

[Zephel]

Hikaru could only gape and gaze at the over-active young girl accelerating off, almost escaping his range of view within seconds. He was left dumbfounded for a moment, before leaping off his tranced state and TRYING to catch Ann Marie up. Still, with all the trash cans children, plants, and some random people she went through...Hikaru has absolutely no chance to at least catch sight of her.

Its through her loud squealing and apology that he managed to follow her trail. "A-Ann Marie!! Wait, slow down!!!" He braked after his immense running, spotting Ann Marie at the fountain. The redhead was just about to take a breath when the girl sprinted off into another direction, forcing Hikaru to keep on moving..

He could see from afar that Ann Marie's hopping up and down, gaining his attention, and sure enough, he could see a familliar backside walking not far off. "Ah! Nii san!!"

But as fate turns out, misfortune pops its ugly head up in the form of Hikaru's sneakers. God knows how he could possibly trip in thin air like that, even after he fixed his laces. "Wh?!" Then off he goes, hurtling and rolling his way towards Ann Marie, banging towards her, and hurled in such a speed, they both got entangled with each other once the rolling stops.

Zeph heard the commotion, of course. Even deaf people would. With a loud depressive sigh, the white-haired forcefully turned half his body to the back, the ice-cream in his hand almost finished, and the puppy beside him barked to the pair.

He didn't even seemed surprise as his eyes hovered over to the two on the ground. "...What?"

[Kida]

"............ow............." Ann Marie groaned. She shook her head and tried to pull herself up, but could only get so far. "Red hit Ann Marie's head..." she mumbled, not really caring that they were tangled together.



"What are you doing?!" Just like most of most of the mall's current shoppers, Kida had heard the loud crash and gone to see what it was. She hadn't expected to see Ann Marie at the center of the commotion. Kida could have died when she saw the crowd of gawkers look from the girl to her. Great...

Hurrying over, Kida knelt and started to disentangle Ann Marie from, "Hikaru?" Kida blinked. "Is that you? ...Ugh, sorry. Damnit, Marie, why are you pestering him?" she tugged Ann Marie apart from him finally and helped them both up.

Ann Marie gasped. "Red! White!! This Ann Marie's Big Sissy!"

Truthfully, the moment he banged into Ann Marie, all Hikaru could see are stars and blurs...and he can't even determine what these voices he's hearing are speaking. Half-conscious and eyes swirling, the redhead didn't even seem to realize that Kida had entered the scene, and even disentangles him from Ann Marie.

Heck, he falls on his chest the second he's free from that tangle, trying to clear his blurry vision. Hikaru tries to stood still when Kida pulled him up on his feet, scrubbing his eyes groggily.

Zeph had fully turned the moment when somebody else dared to step into this lunacy...and it happened to be the only sane person he had ever met today, apparently. "..Kida..?" He didn't even have the time to figure out how the monkey and Kida even knew each other by the way they interact, when...

The confirmation of Kida's and Ann Marie's relationship was brought up.

Zeph certainly took his time to digest that piece of information, his red eyes blanked out into space as he tries to match even the tiniest similarity between those two. He snapped out into realization the moment he felt a cold texture in a form of melted ice-cream sliding down on his hand.

"You're.....sisters.." He stated blankly, void of emotion at first, before that slight twitch of his eyebrow. "..Not..genetically...right??" He focused onto Kida, directing that question mostly for her to answer. And he thought he and Hikaru are like water and oil...

[Kida]

Kida's words escaped her grinding teeth barely while she tried to pry the monkey off of her. "Not genetically. Not clinically, not sanely, not realistically, not anything." She gave one last great push/ pull on Ann Marie to try and get her off. Why the girl had her arms wrapped around her so tightly was beyond Kida.


"LY!" added Ann Marie at the end of Kida's response. "Oh no no. Big Sissy found Ann Marie and rescued her." Despite wanting to hug and cuddle Kida to no end, Ann Marie let her go to bounce and twirl around.

"Yes...Something I regret." Kida muttered under her breath. She rubbed her temple where it was throbbing and with an experienced hand, reached out and grabbed Ann Marie by the head so she had to stop moving. "I'm sure I owe you about twenty different apologies. Each. ....Hikaru, are you still conscious?"

Zeph heaved a sigh...a particular one instead of his usual 'God-I-hate-you' one. "Are you plain bored of your life that you plunged yourself into bonding with her and her insanity...or did she forced you?" It's weird. It's too weird that Zeph just HAS to make sure that its not just him who thinks this is so wrong.

Ann Marie's confirmation only further hits Zeph at the weird spot. If that sentence was said to him 2 years ago, Zeph wouldn't understand no matter how much it was drilled to his mind...about protection, about saving someone...about the act of rescue. But a lot happened since then. And now that he hears this sentence, all he managed to respond is a continuous nod and a slight "Ahh. I see."

"Yea, yea, I'm alive. I'm alive..." He responded, though unfocused. He held up his hands in defense though, signaling he can still hear others despite his dizzy head. After much head-shaking and blinking. Hikaru regains his clarity, and finally said out, "Wha? ...Kida...san? ...KIDA-SAN! HI!!!" His smile is back up again, and not only his smile, his eyes lit up and his whole face beamed.

Hikaru admires Kida. It's like she's his new idol since the time they had gone through that night accompanying Zeph home. ...Maybe those stars in his eyes aren't just imaginary after all.

"Oh. Yeah. Hikaru's been talking about you a lot.

"Nii-san!!"

[Kida]

"Yeah.....She's become something of a parasite since then." The little girl just wouldn't leave her alone, had followed her through several towns in fact. It had been the grudgingly good natured side of Kida that kept her from kicking the monkey out on the street. Afterall, Ann Maried, being crazy, needed a keeper. Lest she seriously hurt herself or others....

"Hey Hikaru. Your jaw's looking good, glad you can talk again." Kida grinned, "Especially if it's about me."


"Red and white! Black and night! And we're aaaaaaaaaaall togeeeeeeeeetheeeeeeeeeeer!" Ann Marie sung happily. She wasn't too interested in how her big sister had met her two new friends, but she was happy that they were all getting along. "Red-red likes Big Sissy? That very-wery good!"

Zeph ran a dang through his silver hair, closing his eyes as he tries to imagine he himself living with someone such as Ann Marie stalking him. It didn't even reached a moment for Zeph to snap open his eyes and stares at Kida in astonishment. "Good God..... How...in the world..are you still sane??"

Hikaru's face tinted red at how Kida responds to him, and grinned sheepishly back to her. "Nii-san's a really good healer... a-and, well, you're just SO COOL, Kida-san!" He balled up his fists under his chin and stares up at his idol in admiration. For a quick moment, he twists his attention to Ann Marie, just to give her a pat on the shoulder, and congratulate her. "Be grateful you have such an awesome sister, Ann Marie. I'm jealous of you."

"Oi." Zeph called out, rolling his eyes as he sighed lightly. Since Kida's the only one sane enough for him to turn to, thus turning to her he did. "Seems you got yourself a fanboy."

"Am NOT a fanboy!"
