A knife was flung into one of the many trees within the forest. Kieru stood up from her stance and walked over to it, pulling it out. For the past few weeks, she had been waiting to hear any news about a potential dragon partner, but was also somewhat avoiding returning to Mt. Rei, second guessing her ability to fully open her mind to becoming one with another creature.
She glared at a tree, throwing her knife at it then took out her sword and charged at the one next to it, cutting a large slash into it. She pulled her knife out and sheathed it, threw with it for the time being and decided to focus on working her sword skills again. She got into a stance and began her sort of dance between the trees, scratching them up as she trained, still a terribly long way away from regaining all of her old strength, speed and abilities.
She grunted as she felt a pain in her side and dropped to her knees a minute, letting her sword fall in front of her as she gripped her side. "Damnit..." She uttered quietly in pain, both physically and mentally. Her mind had been constantly replaying thoughts about her old village and what had happened to it those years ago.
She thought about how she had desperately worked herself into a cold-spell, resisting all forms of friendship and such since then. She thought about her childhood fiance who had suffered the same fate as the rest of the village, and the pain of losing him and all of her exceptionally caring loved ones.
She thought about the life she's lived, the different stages of her life, from her village and after... The lives she's saved and the one's she's taken... She thought about the pain so many people are in daily and how she can only help so many with what little she has to give.
Her mind raced over everything, over and over, nearly driving her mad. She had fought as hard as she could to keep from tears, coming to the forest every day to think and let her emotions out through her training but she could feels her insides practically tearing apart with each swing of her sword.
After this mass of thought, her weakened body, in pain, unable to stand now, Kieru felt utterly weak, useless and almost dead, but... More alive than she had been since the death of her village as the first long-awaited tear leaked from her eye and rolled down her cheek.
Kieru took a deep and rigid breathing, letting out a loud yell, causing creatures nearby to run and create a small mass of motion around her, as she broke down into her cries.
Her arms were crossed across her chest as she huddled over herself, still on her knees, tears flooding out of her eyes as her cries varied between loud and soft.
She sat there on her knees, crying for a rather long time before, exhausted, she leaned back against a tree, placing one hand on the handle of her sword in front of her and closed her reddened eyes, watermarks staining her cheeks as she slowly fell asleep.

Honestly, Zephel can't deny he was startled half to death as the forest suddenly shook by a loud yell from within the deeper parts of the woods. Little squirrels and birds scattered passed him, desperate to get away from the source of the squall. "What in the--"
Hikaru offered him a thought on walking to the park this morning, stating out that the silver-haired has been working more than enough and ushered Zeph to take the day off. The older brother considered it for a moment, and here he is, taking a peaceful walk in the forest with his dog and his fire-lizard...until that defeaning yell scractched off the peaceful part.
With Ryo kyuu-ing on his left shoulder and Zi-Fi whimpering at his foot, Zeph picks up the snow white puppy in his arms before strolling towards the source of the loud cry. Based by the scream he heard earlier, it must be for at least 20 yards away... Really, he forgot the forest was a popular place to let out stress and angst.
With a whining puppy and a wailing fire-lizard, Zeph hushed them as he neared a clearing in the middle of the forest. He noticed a few marks on some trees on his way, assuming somebody has been training here for quite a while. Silently, he came across one large tree, and after circling it, finding a young woman leaning on it, sleeping, it seems.
Zeph blinked. The tear stains on her face is obvious enough for him to guess what's been happening. 'Mental war against a frozen heart. Been there, done that.' He didn't recognize the woman at first, and just quietly tries to back away from her, knowing well enough that she won't be happy waking up seeing somebody's watching her.
As he backs off, Zeph paused the moment his sharp eyes caught side of the sword in front of her. One of her hands are on the hilt of the blade, and his eyes trailed to her hand, then to her shoulder, then to the rest of her wounded body. Brows creasing, the element-wielder found it difficult for him to leave this woman, all bruised up like this especially, alone in the forest.
Sighing slightly, Zeph frowned deeply. Staying here means he has to talk to this woman soon, and talking means he has to waste his time in his day-off... It can't be helped. Turning around so his back is facing her, he lets his dog down, then gently shifts his shoulder a bit to let his fire-lizard hopped off from him. The slight rustle of the leaves made by his pets would be sufficient enough.

Hearing a bit of rustling near her after a little bit, Kieru's arm tensed somewhat, gripping at her sword, as her eyes parted halfway, her body shifting forward a bit to a kneeling stance, one foot on the ground in front of her other knee, her sword in front of her. She tiredly scanned the intruders, her eyes locking on the silver haired boy, almost immediately recognizing him.
Without a word, she dropped her guard and fell back against the tree, her arm relaxing at her side again and her eyes closing for a second. She lifted her other hand to sort of wipe her face before opening her eyes again to look at him.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, her voice tired and a bit raspy from her training and crying. Besides that and the lack of her usual completely cold tone, she sounded pretty normal. Her eyebrows were scrunched together a bit, trying to remember what had happened exactly before she fell into the short exhausted slumber she wished she could have continued longer.

"I was trying to find peace. WAS. TRYING." Zeph put much emphasis on those two words, and he made it clear also. It hit him pretty late that he was being rather rude to wake someone up from her sleep...especially after a scream like that. "..Sorry. Ignore what I just said."
Being himself, Zeph almost always find it hard to filter his words. It just flowed out with his honesty, no matter how brutal it may seem. That's where his sarcastic tone played its part. Shaking his head, Zeph turned around to face Kieru, leaving his pets scattering around to play with the leaves.
"You're injured. And tired. But I can't let you fell asleep like that with those wounds wide open. It may not look that serious, but within this forests, there's all types of strange bacterias. So you better get that closed soon."
Zeph made his way towards Kieru, fully aware of the scratch and stab marks the trees around him has. Towering her with his shadow, the silver-haired stared at this woman. And then FINALLY recognizes her. From the fight at the catacombs, if he remembered correctly. That stubborn woman who won't let him heal her.
"I don't have an aid kit with me, though. But if you want to sleep, then go to the clinic, get yourself treated, and have a nice nap there."

Kieru closed her eyes as she took a deep breath and released it. "I'll be fine..." she said a bit quietly as she opened her eyes again, looking down at herself.
She shifted her body so she was sitting more upright against the tree and pulled one knee towards her, still holding the handle of her sword against the ground.
"I'll sleep later...." She added after that and looked to the side, slowly looking around the area as she tried to wake herself up more. She slowly began to remember the pain that caused her to fall into the short sleep and the tears that she had released. She looked down in thought, breathing steadily with nothing more to really say.

Zeph continued to stare at her, still rooted to where he's standing. He watched her every movement, trying not to use his telepathy in order to know what she's thinking, but by just scrutinizing her actions. He turned to his puppy and fire-lizard for a while, then back to Kieru.
After much though, the silver-haired then released a rather heavy sigh. Slowly, he turns his back towards her, and crouched on the ground, his arms hanging backwards slightly. "I'll take you to the clinic. Come on." Zeph can imagine what would happen. She would be stubborn, Zeph gets annoyed, she strongly doesn't want him to touch her, Zeph knocks her unconscious, then carry her to the clinic and dump her there.
Great. And he can see it so clearly too. "I'm not going to receive a no. So please, get on my back, and just let me get you to the clinic."

Kieru looked at Zephel and lowered one eyebrow. "I don't need to go the clinic... I'll be fine, really." She said, not want to feel she owes him anymore than she already feels she does from the last time.

"You don't owe me anything, so just shut up and accept my goodwill, will you??" Zeph isn't one of those people who can accept a no as an answer. Whatever happens, it must happen HIS way, or he'll force it to go his way. ...This is one of those moments. And he didn't even realized he's reading her thoughts unconsciously again.
"Believe me, I could care less about what you THINK you need at the moment. You've trained enough, so there's no need for you to be here until your energy is restored." He still stayed crouched like that in front of her. Patience isn't really in his dictionary. "...Unless you still want to reflect back all the things that happened and sort out your mind, then I'll consider leaving you alone."

Kieru looked quickly up at him after his last comment, realizing he had read that in her mind as well. She looked down again a let out a quiet breathy sigh. She slowly forced herself to stand up. Though she felt very weak and it took a lot of effort, she carefully began collecting up her weapons and putting them away.
"I'll walk back..." She said quietly, trying to keep her face and voice straight and emotionless. Although she was still obviously too weak to really walk all the way back, she denied it like hell, thinking she would be able to make it back on her own despite the pain. Pain didn't really bother her too much most of the time.

Zeph stood up and spun around, now thoroughly annoyed of this woman. But then again, he has to remind himself that this is her personality, and he can't change that. ...But he did confirmed it in his mind that this girl is definitely hard-headed.
The silver-haired just stand his ground though, as he watched her staggering away. That's when he decided that he doesn't care anymore, and walked closely behind her, readying himself if she started to fall off her feet. He whistled for his pet to follow a moment after that, and continues to walk behind Kieru.
"I apologize first-hand if I ended up carrying you without your permission." He stated straightforwardly, never leaving his focus away from her.

As Kieru had begun walking back, she heard him following her. She let out a small breath of air, feeling somewhat uncomfortable with the idea that he was ready to catch her if her body gave out.
Kieru forced herself to stand as tall as she could without hurting herself and walk as normally as she could, though she was obviously a little slower than normal. She clenched her hands almost into fists a couple times to try and block away stings of pain that ran through her body every few steps from over training herself.
She was unwilling to allow her body to give way no matter how tired it was. This about her was what would sometimes lead to her victory in battle, but it would also sometimes lead her to a near death state if she was injured or pushed herself further than it's capable of really going.

Zeph yet again heaved out a great sigh, annoyed of how stubborn a tired woman could be. With Ryo and Zi-Fi trailing behind him, the silver-haired decided to keep his hands out of his pockets for once, to be ready the moment Kieru falls.
But that's the problem.
She won't let herself fall. No matter how painful she is. Zeph twitched his eyebrows, it's clear enough to see by the way the walks that it's seriously hurting her. He frowned deeply at that, almost seething. It took him no longer than a minute for his patience to thin.
"Alright, that is IT."
Shifting himself right behind her, Zeph moved his arms each behind her knees and behind her shoulders, then literally scooped her up in his arms with ease. The noises he received from his puppy and fire-lizard behind him made Zeph instantly hushed them to silence, then sighed. His creasing eyebrows obviously showed that he's annoyed enough.
"If you DARE climb out..." He growled to Kieru, unintentionally channeling his fury to her, without him realizing it. Though, he didn't end his sentence, for the sole purpose of not bursting flames everywhere literally, So, he merely closes his eyes, takes a deep inhale, then starts walking through the forest.

When Zephel bursted out "that's it" she slowly began to turn to look at him, her eyes a bit widened as she then felt him picking her up in his arms. She inhaled sharply at that then exhaled and watched him as he made a small beginning of a threat if she climbed out.
She relaxed her face and looked off to the side, feeling almost ashamed at herself for being weak and putting him out like this. He really was a nice guy, but she already felt indebted to him for saving her the last time.
After a little bit of walking, Kieru quietly spoke a "thank you" to him, still looking away in shame.

"What?" Zeph asked, in cue of her thanks. He truly didn't hear what she said, with his puppy whining and the fire-lizard kyuuing, it's rather hard for him to concentrate. He noticed Kieru's uneasiness, and at that, his eyebrows creased.
"L-look, I know it's your code to never ask any help from others." He started awkwardly, his eyes trailing towards the trees unsurely. "But you have to remember that sometimes, it's the other way around. Others WANT to help you." He stresses the last part, frowning a bit. "And do you know how annoying it is when you turn down somebody's good will?"
And if that good will is a rare one, it's even more irritating. Zi-Fi and Ryo scurried behind the silver-haired, obediently following their owner while trying to get his attention with their whining and mewling. Turning his head to look over his shoulder, Zeph uttered, "Hey, hey, come on, you two. Stop that, it's bothersome."

Kieru listened to Zephel's small speech. She didn't look up at him as her eyebrows moved in together and her eyes closed part way, not very happy with herself now either. She knew he was right and could not say much in response to go against it.
Kieru took in and released a slow breath of air after he finished. "My apologies." She said a quietly but now enough to be heard. "thank you." She added again so he would hear it this time.
