Here's the basics about dragons.....
There are three types of dragons that are gonna exist in DD, they are:
The Absolutes- These are strictly characters themselves, since they are dragons that can take human form (i.e. Tadokoro and Arya)
The 'True' Dragons- These are the real dragons that lives in you fantasy. Huge and majestic, they serve as powerful and wise friends to Dragon Riders. Although, only a select would be chosen.
The Fire-Lizards- Pint-sized, miniature dragons that takes the place of the common dog or cat in DD. Basically pets.....(Hey it's cool to have a pet dragon)
Colors of Dragons and Rank
Dragonkind, except fire-lizards, are divided into ranks, depending on their color. Rank and Color is no way a distinction of who's stronger. The Dragon color only determine the position of the particular character in DD society. ALL DRAGON COLORS ARE EQUAL IN STRENGTH AND SIZE
The Absolutes....
The Absolutes are divided into 5 colors...
1. Blue- Highest rank. Reserved for Admins only. Always male characters.
2. Gold- Can be used by all members. Always female characters.
3. Black- can be used by all members. Always female characters.
4. Red- can be used by all members. Always male characters.
5. Bronze- can be used by all members. Always male characters.
The True Dragons...
1. Gold- One of the rarest of all the Female True Dragons. Can only be ridden and partnered with females. Always Female.
2. Bronze- Rarest Male True Dragon. Can only be ridden and partnered with males. Always Male.
3. Brown- Most loyal of the True Dragons. Can only ridden by males. Always Male.
4. Blue- One of the rarest True Dragons. Can be ridden both male or female. Always Male.
5. Green- Most playful and energetic of all True Dragons. Can only be ridden and parterned with Females. Always Female.
6. Red- Most aggressive color. Can only be ridden and partnered with Males. Always male.
7. Black- Most mysterious and silent of all the True Dragons. Can only be ridden and partnered with Females. Always Female.
8. White- Most child-like off all dragons. Can be partnered with both males and females. The only color of dragon that can be male or female.
9. Silver- Little is known about Silvers. We do not even know if there is a Silver 'True' Dragon. All we know, because of the evidence from Fire-lizards, they would always Female.

Fire-Lizards are divided in all the colors that the True dragons have. All of the members can have a Fire-Lizard as pets and friends. Although the rules of genders doesn't really apply to Fire-Lizards, they would sometimes follow it.
