Billy carried his large scythe and his little Greul, Mandy, as he entered a room in a weird place. He saw a bunch of doors with signs on them, not exactly sure what the sayings were supposed to mean, even though he could read them. Each seemed to have somewhat of a riddle on them.
Billy set Mandy on the ground for a moment, telling her to stay put as he opened a couple doors a bit to see what was on the other side. With every door, though, he only saw black.
Billy was a bit confused for a moment, before he decided to stick his head through the blackness of one of the door, not expecting that in doing that, he would be pulled in through the doorway. Billy accidentally let go of his side, tumbling a bit as he rolled down a hill, landing in a puddle at the bottom of the hill.
He sat up, a bit dizzy, then looked around. He definately wasn't at DD anymore. There was a large grassy plain, a few hills here and there and a mass of trees not far away, a lake nearby also.
He looked up at the top of the hill where he had fallen from, not seeing the door he had entered this place from. He decided he would climb back to the top to get a better look.
On the other side of the door, Mandy, seeing her master fall through the door, wabbled over towards it, picking up the end of his scythe and pulling it with her through the door.
Mandy and the scythe fell through, tumbling down the hill and bumping into Billy, tumbling down with them, the three landing in the puddle again at the bottom of the hill.
Billy was a bit confused for a moment before he look at what hit him. "Mandy!" He exclaimed, hugging his little Greul, then stood, holding Mandy in one arm and picking up his scythe with the other.
"Well, I guess we'll just have to walk around until we can find our way out of here...." He said a bit quietly. Mandy nuzzled into Billy and fell asleep there as Billy walked, searching for an exit.

All of the sudden a brown haired boy fell next to Billy and Mandy on the ground.
"Ouch!" he rubbed his back "My, My.... haven`t I`ve been here before ? Slowly I am thinking that I`ll never find a way out of here again" Roy muttered and got back on his feet.
He looked around and was thinking about what should he do now. And then his eyes fell on Billy.
"Whoa! Hey little guy! I didn`t hit you did I?" he asked with a worried voice.

Billy looked over to this other boy who fell into the same place near him. "No..." He said a bit quietly, his face looking it's usual sad skeleton look the whole time. "Do you know the way out?" He asked a bit quietly, hoping that this person wouldn't run away from him also because he was a reaper.

Roy sat down so he could look Billy into the eyes while talking to him. "Sadly I don`t" Roy replied "I got lost here myself. And I`m trying to find the exit for quiet a while now."
Roy was looking watching the little guy in front of him and wasn`t really sure what kind of being he was. All he noticed was the sad look on his face "You are looking like you`ve got lost too..."
Roy scratched the back of his head. "Would you like the idea to look for the exit together ?" he asked with a smile.

Billy gave a slight nod. "Sure....." He glanced around, his face never changing as if it were stuck in that sad expression. "Where should we look first?"

"Hmmm...... since the door which I used to get here disappeared again lets go into the direction of the lake over there. Maybe we are lucky and find another door" Roy said and stood up. He started walking and waved to the little guy to symbolize him that he can follow. "Besides, what is your name ?"

Billy followed the other, carrying sleeping Mandy in his arms and his scythe. "My name is Billy..." He said a bit quietly, his somewhat quiet and sad way of speech and sad face never changing as if it were permanently that way. "What about yours?"

"My name is Roy" Roy replied and turned to Billy.
Now that Billy was walking next to Roy he finally could see that it isn`t just an average little boy that he met. His eyes were wandering from his skeleton head down to the little creature that was sleeping in his arms. Then he saw the big scythe and his eyes widen in amazement. "Ummm... allow me one question... just what are you?" Roy asked with blinking eyes.

"I'm a reaper...." Billy said a bit quietly as he looked at Roy, hoping that wouldn't make this new person run off screaming or something like everyone else.

"A Reaper ?" Roy stopped walking and was checking Billy again from his feet to his head. "I have to admit that I never met one before, and I don`t even know what exactly a reaper is." he said while scratching the back of his head. "The only thing I know is that they are kinda eating the souls from innocent humans......" he continued. "But you really don`t look the type!" Roy said laughing. But his laughing wasn`t sounding mean in any way. "Would you like me to tell me who you are and what exactly a reaper is ? Seems like we have enough time to talk" And with these words he was walking into the direction of the lake again.

Billy quietly listened, then lowered his head a bit as they continued walking. "A reaper is supposed to take souls from creatures with our scythes.... It doesn't matter whether they are innocent or guilty, if someone is meant to die or if someone from our realm has chosen someone to die, the reaper will go steal their soul...." Billy explained a bit quietly, then looked over at Roy with his same rather sad face.
"I don't like to reap..... I don't like seeing creatures die....." He said sadly as he held the little greul a little bit closer to himself, looking down at her, clutching his scythe a bit tighter in his other hand.

Roy was watching Billy explaining his story and somehow wasn`t afraid of him at all. Even when he`s a reaper. He felt sorry fo him. It must be hard if you don`t like your own self because of the things your race does.
And just by now he noticed the little thing that Billy held in his little arms. "Wait... was this your... aim?"
"Don`t you... get punished when you don`t fullfill your duty?" Roy asked quietly.

Billy lowered his head a bit as he looked at Mandy. "I always fulfill my duty..... When someone is meant to die..... Because otherwise their soul will remain stuck in their corpse and their corpse might end up being burried or burned because the body is dead...." He said a bit quietly.
"I found Mandy while I was traveling here. She was all alone, like myself, so I adopted her...."

Actually Roy just realized by Billys last sentence what a Reaper has to do. But he kept that thought for himself.
He got down on his knees and took a closer watch at Mandy. "I haven`t seen a creature like this before" he said "But she looks cute."

"Mandy is a Greul.." Billy said a bit quietly. "But she's probably going to die in about twenty-three years....." He said a bit quieter and sadder since his life span is practically endless.
