Kimiko slept in a tree near the cliff that overlooked a vast area below it. She hadn't meant to sleep there all night, but she felt good in this high place. She slowly opened her eyes, noticing the sun was already fairly high.... maybe it was about ten in the morning? she thought.
She rested on the tree still, hidden behind the leaves, watching over the cliff as she thought.

Bright early in the morning, it's the best time for Hikaru to be collecting leaves for his herbology class. He's always interested in plants, and morning seems to be the best time yet as the leaves are fresh with dews on it...
His red hair completely stands out on all that greeneries. Hikaru bent a lot of times to pluck some of his desired leaves, carefully putting it iside his pocket, "I can't believe I haven't noticed how many of these rare leaves growing here..."

Kimiko's ears twitched as she quickly turned around, sitting up on her branch, looking through the leaves to see Hikaru coming nearer. Her cheeks blushed a bit as she stayed sitting there, keeping her legs up and herself hidden behind the leaves, not wanting him to notice her yet.

Plucking more and more leaves, Hikaru patted his pocketful of leaves and stood up straight, "Ah... that'd be enough to make some cure if anything happens."
He noticed a tree nearby and decided to take a rest there. Taking out a small pocket-size notebook and an equally small pencil, Hikaru started writing after sitting at the base of the tree, never noticing Kimiko's right on top of him...
Nii-san says I'm only 16, so I don't even know the meaning of love yet.
But he also said love is when I feel so happy no matter what happens...
Like nii-san and Fang before. Though he didn't show it, I noticed him being so happy!
...And I think the same thing is happening to me.
Though, I gotta keep my head intact, 'cause love sometimes hurts...
But I KNOW I won't. ...I just love Kimiko, and I know she won't hurt me...
Because she's the kindest, sweetest person I've ever known.
.....Though, I gotta admit I'm pretty embarassed I gotta looked up at her literally since I'm so short....
But meh....I'll grow up after I drink a truckload of milk.

Kimiko leaned over from above Hikaru, trying to read what he had been writing, blushing a bit as she read. After a minute, the small branch she was leaning over from her big branch to look down began to break and snapped off. "Kyaa!" Kimiko let out a small shriek as she fell down right on top of Hikaru, looking over at him with her cheeks going a bit pink.
"Ah! I'm sorry Hikaru!" Kimiko said almost a bit quickly as she hurriedly climbed off him and sat on her knees next to him with an embarrassed smile.

Hikaru was just closing his notebook when an angel from heaven suddenly falls off in his arms, "What the--?!"
Before anything else happens, Kimiko got off of him as quick as a cat, and apologized to him. But what shocked Hikaru the most....is Kimiko's statement...
"Did... Did you just called me 'Hikaru'...?!"
All this while, Kimiko had been calling him 'Hika-chan'...but now... she called him by his full name! That definitely means something...

Still with her somewhat embarrassed smile, Kimiko responded. "Eh? What do you mean, Hika-chan?" She questioned, unaware that she had said his real name only previously.

Blinking at her, Hikaru placed his index finger at his mouth, wondering, "But I thought you just called me-- Oh, never mind."
Sitting cross-legged, the red head faced Kimiko with a bright smile, "What are you doing here anyway, Kimiko-chan?" Seeming like he forgot everything that happened at the Lighthouse, as if its all back to normal, Hikaru blinked at her.

"I was sleeping" Kimiko said, smiling, pointing up at the tree. It probably seemed obvious that something was on her mind as she was not exactly in her usual hyper cheery state.

Hikaru blinked several times at her, "Oh. I guess you're not a morning person, huh? Considering you didn't pounced me off the cliff this time."
He tried to joke, though worried if she's sick or something. He can sense something is wrong... but at least she's smiling.

Kimiko chuckled somewhat, smiling still as she sort of scratched a bit behind her ear before placing her hand back down on her knee, smiling at him so her eyes wouldn't wanted and so she wouldn't forget to keep smiling.

Hikaru's eyebrows lowered down, clearly expressing that he's worried.
"What's wrong, Kimiko?" pulling himself closer to the catgirl, the light-wielder placed a hand on her shoulder, staring straight into her eyes, "Are you sick? If you are, let's go to the clinic or something."
When they're sitting face to face like that, Hikaru didn't even realize he appeared taller than her, that's why he's leaning down to look in her eyes, "You didn't seem pale or anything... Why is your face pink? Is it hot here?"

"Eh?" Kimiko's cheeks seemed to get a bit dark pink before she pulled herself away from him and stood up, flashing her cheery smile and standing with her hands clasped behind her, one foot slightly forward as she bent of a bit. "Ne, Hika-chan! Let's go find something fun to do!" She said, trying to sound excited as she smiled at him.

Kimiko's smile dropped a bit as she turned to the side slightly, placing a finger at her lip in thought. "I don't know..... " She said then dropped her arm and looked around a bit to see if maybe she could see anything within sight distance.
