Studying

[Maki]

Maki Kotoyama headed into the library after getting herself set up around school. She immediately searched the shelves, grabbing a rather large amount of books down after carefully choosing one by one which she would read.

Maki headed over to a nearby table, setting the books down and pulled out her pen and a notepad to take notes on as she read. She decided to carry around a new notepad every time she went to the library, so this notepad in her hand was completely blank

As she read, she began to fill her notepad with what appeared to be scribbles, but actually her own form of codes to make note taking far quicker than if she actually wrote out the words. Through all her years of studying, she'd found the use of her secret code to be the quickest and most efficient.

Maki seemed to speed through the books, taking notes without hardly looking at her notepad, the once plain pages now practically filled with her scribbles of code as she read, placing the finished books to the side.

Even though Maki was incredibly quiet, her appearance of how she quickly finished so many books and her mass of scribbles may have probably drawn some fair amount of attention from others in the library, though she took no notice of this.

[Zephel]

Though banned from the library, a certain half-vampire crept in between the book racks unnoticeably. Not wearing her red cloak though, but a cap to cover her hair and a rather baggy shirt, in hope that the bodyguards and librarian won't notice it's Syani in a stolen misfit outfit.

But then, she could see the librarian, eyeing her like a hawk from afar, so Syani quickly sprinted her way to the table with the most highest tower of books, hiding beside a spectacled blonde in the process...

"Shhh!" she hushed to her with a finger pointing upwards just in front of her lips, "Wh-- Hey wait, are you reading on Brewing Dos and Donts??"

[Maki]

Maki quickly finished the paragraph she was on before pausing and looking over to the person hiding behind her stack of books. She had a rather blank expression on her face as if none of this was surprising.

"That is one of the many things I study most." She said a bit quietly but in a plain, emotionless tone as she looked to the other girl, waiting if there would be any more speaking interruptions before she could go back to her reading.

[Zephel]

"Really?!" still hiding, Syani turned her cap so that it faces backwards, revealing her excited expression, "Me too!! I mean, I literally copy-pasted the whole book as my room wallpaper!"

She slight stood up, grab a chair and pull it beside Maki, "Hey, I've never seen you around here before, so you must be new! I'm Syani, part-vampire, part-human, ALL potion-loving goodness~"

[Maki]

"My name is Maki." Maki said simply with no intention of going further in depth of her background or likes unless specifically asked. She quietly set her pen down a moment, looking down as she removed her glasses, taking a small cloth out of her pillow and wiping the lens before putting the cloth back in her pocket and the glasses back on her face, looking back over at Syani with her blank look.

[Zephel]

"Nice to meet ya, Maki! Syani nodded before silently comparing this new girl with Kieru, "So, what are you supposed to be? ...You looked human enough, but my Almaz didn't say that..."

Bringing out her hole-less metal doughnut again from her cloak, Syani showed Maki her Almaz, "It tells me you're a Leirpin...which I have no idea what it is."

[Maki]

"Shapeshifter." Maki said simply, her blank expression not changing as she sort of gave a quick overview of the Almaz. "Interesting device." She said simply as she looked at it before looking back up at Syani.

[Zephel]

"Shapeshifter?? I see... So you can turn into anything??" Syani questioned her back before hearing what she said about the Almaz, "Ahh. Thanks. I combined some craps from the junk with a little bit of charm and a lot of hex to make it work."

[Maki]

Maki gave a nod of her head to answer both the question and show she had heard Syani's comment. Maki just remained silent as she watched Syani, waiting to see if there would be more distraction now or if she'd be able to get back to her book.

[Zephel]

An idea suddenly got struck in Syani's head as her eyes widen for a moment, "Oh, oh! Maki, would you like to come in our dorm tonight? I think I'm gonna make a huge dinner! Have you met Kieru? She's my roommate, and I think you'll gonna like her!"

Her speech was cut short when a spectacled old woman appeared from behind her. Syani sweatdropped before leaping out of the chair and scattered around the library...searching for any book she wanted to steal before escaping out...

[Maki]

Maki watched Syani run off for a moment, not having been able to answer her question. She picked her pen and pad back up and continued reading and taking notes.

[Zephel]

After avoiding several guards trying to catch her, Syani ran back to Maki, handing her a paper, "Here's my dorm number! See you tonight, if you can make it, that is!"

Then, she speeded off again, complete with several books in her arms, then exited the library.

[Maki]

Maki glanced at the paper then went right back to her studying as if she had never been interrupted.
