( First off... sorry for the LOONNNGGG history.... x.x; I think I'll turn Makenzi's background into a full story... >.> teehee )
Name: Makenzi Kaed
Race: human
Age: 13
Class/Occupation: Wants to be a warrior
Background: Makenzi had grown up within a wealthy family, practically treated like royalty. Her parents would boast about how beautiful a pianist and singer she was. She had been made to practice nearly every day. Makenzi didn't mind that all too much, because she did love music. She had only wished that her parents would stop fighting in the middle of the night. One night, however, Makenzi had gotten her wish.
Around midnight one night when she was nine years old, Makenzi was awoken by the sound of sirens blaring outside of her house. As she slowly exited her room, she had seen the police men cuffing her father and beginning to lead him down the stairs. "Papa!" She had yelled from the top of the stairs, catching a glimpse of his regretful eyes as he looked back up at her. when Makenzi looked over to her parent's room, however, she was certainly filled with horror and ran into it. "Mama!" She cried as she fell atop her mother's murdered corpse, crying until the police dragged away a screaming and broken Makenzi Kaed.
Makenzi had been taken to a children's home, being told that her father had done something terrible and would not be allowed to see her since he was a danger. Makenzi protested but had been ignored. She hated the children's home, even more because they would be cruel to her. She wanted only to have her parent's back again in her beautiful safe home. If she could have her life back, she wouldn't have minded listening to her parent's constant fighting. It was better than having no parents at all.
A few years later, when she reached her twelfth birthday, Makenzi decided she would run away from the children's home. She was fed up with it. She had been fed up with it for the past two and a half years. Makenzi managed to escape finally after a few tries, running as far and as fast as she could. She stopped, breathless, in front of her old home, staring up at it and seeing that it had been occupied by a new family. Makenzi lifted her arm to cover her eyes as she broke down in tears, falling to the ground in front of the gates and just crying.
Soon, a young boy had noticed her crying and came out to the gate to greet her. Makenzi stared up, teary eyed at this boy as he opened the gates and invited her to come into his home for the night if she had no place else to go. He took her hand as he helped her stand and lead her to the front door. He explained to his parents who then allowed Makenzi to stay in one of the guest rooms for the night.
Makenzi decided she would speak with the parents who now owned her house and ask if they knew anything about the previous owners. They had said that when they bought this house it had most of the previous owner's belongings in it. They couldn't just get rid of it all so they had stashed it safely in the attic. Makenzi asked to see these belongings and they reluctantly agreed and let her up there.
Makenzi searched through the boxes, finding a picture of her and her parents after a piano recital, all of them smiling and happy. She hugged the picture close to her heart before turning around to show the person who had placed a hand from her shoulder and asked her what she found. The owners did seem pretty surprised to find out that this young girl had been the daughter who formerly lived there. They said she could take as many of her old belongings as she wanted and sympathized with her after she told them what had happened.
Makenzi had spent a couple nights there, preparing to leave for an adventure she knew awaited her, even though her heart was still torn, not wanting to leave. She knew, however, if she stayed too long, the people at the home might find her. Makenzi was teary eyed with joy as the owners of the house gave her a pretty fair sum of money for her to take with her. She thanked them multiple times, strapping her father's old sword over her head and putting the money safely away in her bag. With one last thank you and goodbye, Makenzi headed off an on her way.
She headed into the woods, not realizing until it had gotten dark that she had no clue where she was or where she was going. She began to get scared and started running, stopping suddenly at a noise that scared her and looking around before deciding she would hide in a tree for the night, since it seemed safer than being right down on the ground. So she climbed in the tree, foun a semicomfortable position and managed to nap until sunrise.
When she awoke, Makenzi climbed down and continued on her way, eventually finding her way out of the forest and into a quaint little town. There, she bought a couple new outfits, deciding to wear the green one and bought herself some food to eat for the time being as she continued, not sure how much longer it would take before she would find a place to rest and stay for a while. It wasn't until she heard talk of a place called Diabolic Domain a year later that she decided that was where she would stay. With an adventure seeking grin, Makenzi ran off to where this place would be, smiling with excitement as she entered and registered to stay there.
Personality: Makenzi is a bit insecure in herself and others, but at the same time puts all her trust in everyone she's ever met. With her sweet and mischievous grin, Makenzi seems to warm the heart of any person she meets. She tends to be understanding and caring towards anyone and cant stand the thought of someone hurting the people she cares about, but also understands that those who hurt others had probably been hurt themselves. Makenzi does all she can to keep a positive outlook on life but will never forget what had happened with her parents and during her stay at the children's home.
Weapon(s)/ Abilities: Makenzi carries her father's sword with a Jewel around the handle. It had been the sword he fought with when serving as a knight under a prosperous king who had granted him great riches for the honourable and dangerous service he had provided the king with using that very sword. It was a sword of legend, her father used to tell her. It supposedly held great power in the hands of someone who could learn to control it properly.
Strengths: Makenzi is the type that wont just give up because something in life is hard or challenging. She stands up to those challenges with everything she can muster in her small, young frame.
Weaknesses: Makenzi is physically weak, only recently having started trying to train her body to become stronger so that she may one day be able to wield her father's sword. Because she is so openly trusting, Makenzi is also rather easily hurt when betrayed by someone she trusted. It makes her really depressed, and even so, she still goes on trusting as though she had never been hurt before.
