Wanderer between worlds

[Makenzi]

Makenzi looked up at him as he spoke, lowering her head slightly as he said what was on her mind when he suggested she try a lighter blade. "Is.... There a problem.... With learning with a sword that's special to you.... Even if it's a bit big right now...?" She said a bit quietly as she then looked back up at him, forcing her sword to remain in the air even though it shook like her arms shook from the pressure of keeping such a heavy sword up.

[Veldrin]

"Attack me" he responded without answering her question, opening his arms like a gesture for welcoming an old friend. His sword still kept in his right outstretched arm and his face lighted up to a small smile.

[Makenzi]

Makenzi sort of clenched her face a bit as she took another step back, forcing her sword in the air and pushing forward with her legs to swing an attack at Veldrin, certain that she was just going to get knocked back down again.

[Veldrin]

With a move fast as lightning Veldrin stepped back and redirected Makenzi's sword with his own blade into air.

[Makenzi]

"Hya!" Makenzi let out a small sound as her blade was moved off to the side, causing her to get off balance and begin falling to the side. She let the sword stab down into the ground, holding the handle to keep her from falling.

She stared at her father's sword a moment before stepping back again and pulling it back out with a bit of a struggle. She also struggled even a little bit more now as she tried to force it in the air, feeling as if it were a bit heavier than just before.

[Veldrin]

"You see what happens" Veldrin said "The swordsmen should wield his sword, not the sword the swordsmen..." He accompanied his words with a cutting hit of his blade trough the air.

[Makenzi]

Makenzi watched the man cut through the air and tried to copy, only to get thrown off balance again and fall a bit to the side. Her sword stabbed into the ground, catching herself again. A slightly frustrated look appeared on her face at her inability to steadily wield her father's sword as she got her footing once more and forced it into the air again, looking over to the man again if he had anything else to say or do.

[Veldrin]

Veldrin lookes into the young girls exspectant eyes again and sighed.
"Try to hold your balance first. Probably the most important thing you do in a fight is the right footwork. Train different steps and different positions of your sword while going forwards and backwards. Try jumps, try moves to the side but never lose your balance. Maybe you should train this in the enxt weeks." He took his sword hanger from his back, kneeled to the ground and packed his sword into a great piece of leather skins.

[Makenzi]

Makenzi listened intently, moving her right foot forward to find a balance then trying to walk a few steps steadily forward as he explained. As she walked though, the sword kept tipping slightly to either side, making to steps rather unbalanced until she almost lost her balance completely again.

When she stopped, she managed to find a balance point again and this time began to slowly and steadily take a few steps backwards. Unfortunately, as she tried walking backwards, she accidentally tripped over a rock. "Uwaa!!" She let out as she fell back, flinging her arms up as she let go of her sword which landed a bit away from her feet.

She let out a slight moan in pain as she started to sit up, rubbing the back of her head which had his the ground rather hard. She was up fully, staring at her sword with a slight pout on her face, rubbing the now bump on her head.

Makenzi let out a small sigh as she pulled herself back to her feet and went for her sword again, picking it up with both hands and grunting as she struggled to get it into the air again. Once more, she started, trying to take a few steps forward then backward, completely offbalanced most of the time and stopping for a moment when she had to to regain it a bit. Her arms were quivering from the weight of the sword on her weak and tired muscles.

[Veldrin]

Veldrin watched the girl's awkward tries with a grin and sat up, throwing his sword over the shoulder.
He covered the short distance between them and took hold of the heavy sword hilt with his mechanical hand to help the enervated girl.
"You're a strong willed. I'm sure you'll wield your sword some day. You can not learn wielding a sword at one day. And... In spite of everything you should start training with a lighter sword." His voice lost the coldness it had before.
"You have to know, I'm new in this realm. I don't know anything about the city and its people. That's why I want to have some time for my own, to explore the city and the cities areas and to think..." He paused and for a moment he looked to the trees in the distance which seemed to be an offshoot of a forest.
"Tell me" he started again "What is your name?"

[Makenzi]

Makenzi looked up to the man as he'd grabbed hold of her sword, listening to him and slightly saddened at his advice for training with a smaller sword but considered it. After he finished and asked her name, Makenzi pulled forth a small sort of sweet smile. "Makenzi Kaed. What's yours?" She answered and asked in return, her voice holding a slight hint of tiredness.

[Veldrin]

Veldrin looked at the smiling little girl. "Veldrin... Call me Veldrin." he said. "Even if you are disapointed, you should never forget that all the things start with exercisement.
I'm sure you'll wield your father's sword someday."

[Makenzi]

Makenzi smiled a bit brighter with that and nodded. "I will definately learn to wield it." She said with a hint of determination in her voice. A forward dreaming look within her eyes sparkled up in thanks at Veldrin. "Thank you, Veldrin." She finished, smiling at him.

[Veldrin]

A light breeze blew through Veldrin's hair and even his face afforded a small smile. He couldn't remember when someone has thanked him before. The only thing he knew that it has to be a long time ago. He shouldered his sword and started towards the silhouette of the forest. After only a few steps he stopped and turned around.
"Your are living in the DiabolicDomain, right?"

[Makenzi]

Maki dropped her sword into the ground again, unable to hold the weight for a moment. She looked at him again when he spoke and smiled. "Yes! I'm living there right now. Why? Are you too?" She said, smiling sweetly at him despite the slight aching she was now beginning to feel in her muscles.
