Sunset

[Iku]

Iku was sitting on a cliff watching as the sun began to set. It eased her. The wind was blowing softly as she stared into the sun. The sun was setting behind the trees, the sky golden with all the colors in the sky. Hugging her knees she stared. Sitting beside her was Kimi.

'kyuu' said kimi crawling up on her shoulder

Iku stroked Kimi's head. Iku then stood up walking over towards Kiara.

"Looks like its gonna be another quiet night" said Iku petting Kiara's head.

Its been quiet on her part. she has seen people runing aroud but Iku being Iku she kept to herself. Iku turned around streching starring at the sun. For some reason stuff like that always Idle'ed her. every bone in her body would for some reason just relax starring at the sun or the moon.

[Tyr]

"Be careful you overgrown hatchlings!" Orlith howled after three young fledglings enjoying their first flight outside the lair. Being the Weyr's equivalent of an Alpha Female, Orlith took it upon herself to teach the new generations. Whether these young ones would later take Riders or not, Orlith would make sure they knew how to fly efficiently and elegantly.

"They'll be fine, my sweet." Tyr chuckled from his seat upon Orlith's back. Never to part with his beloved dragon, Tyr joined Orlith for the baby-sitting.

"You are not the one who will have to catch them if their wings get caught on the canopy. I wish that you would shut up." Orlith grumbled, agitated.

Tyr could only sigh and remain quiet. Despite Orlith's rather sour mood this evening, Tyr chose to enjoy the flying time instead of brooding in the same manner as her.

[Iku]

Iku who was starring deeply into the sun suddenly felt a whoosh.

"what was that" said Iku aloud

Iku jumped onto Kiara's back and gave the signal that she was ready. Kiara took off following the big thing that was flying by ever so quickly. Catching up to the fast thing. Iku realized that it wasnt a thing... it was Orlith.

Kiara being happy to see Orlith gained speed to catch up.

"gah! why are you going so fast!"

Kiara didnt hear Iku at all. The next thing she knew Kiara was flying next to Orlith

'Hello Orlith, and how are you doing this evening' said Kiara slowing down

Iku looked over to see Orlith. She then looked up only to see Tyr.

"oh great, Its HIM" said Iku sweatdropping

[Tyr]

"Him? Him who?" Tyr raised a brow when he heard Iku say the comment.

"Just fine..." Orlith said with a bite as she continued to follow the hatchlings less than a third of her size. "Why are you not in the Weyr for the longest time, Kiara?"

[Iku]

"Oh nothing, nothing important" she said looking away

'great, he just had to be the one teaching baby dragons to fly .... wait baby dragons?!?!?!' she thought to herself

"Flying lesson?" she asked

'I've been worried about Iku, she hasnt slept in her dorm for about a month now' Kiara said telpathically

[Tyr]

Tyr crossed his arms, "More like baby-sitting. Vervada is quite demanding. These are Kiara's younger siblings by the way."

Orlith let out a quiet growl of mild irritation, "I understand but I would like to see you in the Weyr sometime soon. There are two other clutches hatching in the next few weeks."

[Iku]

Iku's eyes brightened up. Baby dragons just was the thing to cheer her up.

"Oh really" said iku

'Its that time already' Thought Kiara

Kiara nodded her head at Orlith

'Im sure that wont be a problem' thought Kiara to Orlith

Looking at the babies learn to fly for some reason it made her happy. The one thing she loved most besides her faithfull compainions was watching baby dragons grow. And without even knowing it. For the first time in a long time she smiled. She then looked at Tyr who was paying attention to the babies as well. and again... her body seem to feel wieghtless her smile became bigger and her check's became slightly pink. Looking away she couldnt bear for him to see her like this.

'WHAT THE HELL!?!?!?!?! WHY DOES HE DO THIS TO ME' she thought in her head. not even realizing... that her face was getting more red.

[Tyr]

"So, what are you doing flying with me during the sunset, Iku?" Tyr teased.

"I never saw you as the romantic type."

[Iku]

Quickly snaping out of the state she was in. She turned around glaring at him as hard as she could.

"FLYING AROUND YOU!?!?!?!?!?!?! i am not flying around, I'm here for the babies!?!?!" she yelled while slightly blushing. glaring at him feeling flustered, She didnt know what to say. She couldnt belive she had ran out comebacks!!!

"And thats pretty lame if you leave the romantic part up to the ladies, arnt you supoe to be the romantice one!?!?!?" she yelled in fustration

[Tyr]

Tyr laughed out loud, "Yes, I am but I think I should reserve romance for someone who can appreciate it." He said lightly, alluding to the fact that try and he might, he couldn't quite get Iku in a romantic setting and make it last.

[Iku]

Iku then glared at him. If she could kick him where it hurts she probably would.

"Oh so now I'm not worthy of your romance?!?!?!?! Or are you lying to me because you just don't want me to know that you suck at it!?!?!? yelling Iku as she became extremely annoyed

[Tyr]

"I suck at it?!" Tyr snapped, "Are you sure about that or you're the one who couldn't reciprocate all my advances because of your two dimensional thinking?!"

"Look, I don't want to get in this argument again nor do I want to discuss anything remotely about our past every time I see you. We're over...been over a long time ago. Just let it go."

[Iku]

Iku stopped for a second. Realizing she let her temper get the better of her, She looked away. After all that time, of her trying to let her past go, so that she could be a better person she still reverts back to her old self. She didnt like this she didnt like being the way she was so why was it so hard for her to change. Why are old habbits hard to break? She knew she had to do something. Something that she could never do before.

"I... I... I'm sorry" she said just loud enough for him to hear her.

If only he could hear her thoughts, feel what she was feeling. She sat there on Kiara and every second that he didnt speak made her feel worse. In a sence she didnt change. But only just a little.

[Tyr]

He looked at her from the corner of his eye, still scowling. This was getting tiring, always bickering and she being flat and two-dimensional as if there was nothing to him other than his love for flirting.

Orlith flew without expressing any thoughts on the matter. She was too busy keeping an eye on the green hatchling doing corkscrews around the tall trees of the mountain side. Only to Kiara, she said, "How does Iku truly feel about this, young one? My Tyr has been troubled, this conflict has started to take its toll on him."

[Iku]

'Well... Honestly... She loves him hands down, there's no mistake on that. Its showing it, is her problem, and putting trust in someone is really hard for her. I know it has taken a toll on Tyr and i deeply apologize for it. Kiara said Telepathically.

Iku sat there quietly debating with herself. She looked at the dragons infrount of her, flapping their wings trying to fly. Iku opened her mouth but the words didnt come out. If there was a time for her to open up this would be it. To tell him. To for one once be at peace. If not with him.. than atleast with herself. Jumping over to Orlith she then got on her knee's and sat down facing Tyr.

"I'm sorry for the way i've acted all these years" she started to say, looking downwards.

"I... I... I " she stumbled

Why she couldnt say what she felt. She didnt know, the more she tried the more the words just wouldnt come out.

"I.. care about you..." she finnally spat out...

why she couldnt say what she really wanted to say... even she didnt know. but at this moment it was too late. She sat there, waiting for his responce, as each second went by Iku became scared... scared that maybe opening up wasnt the right thing to do. Maybe telling him just yet, was the wrong decision. so many questions running threw her head..
