Sunset

[Tyr]

Tyr was rather shocked when Iku jumped onto Orlith. Even more so when she told him that she cared. He was honestly just waiting for her to leave him and Orlith to their devices but not it had spiraled down to this.

Cared for what...he thought. Cared for him as a friend? Tyr was sure it could never be love. They had almost nothing to set them on that platform yet aside from the occasional flirting and consistent arguments.

"I do as well. I would protect you from the world if I have to but caring is relative, Iku." He said softly that the breeze almost muted him.

"I do not expect anything from you. All I want is for us to be on peaceful terms as friends." He continued. At this point, he wasn't sure if that was all both of them wanted. He cared for her, sure, but it has been such a long time that Tyr wasn't confident about his true feelings. He decided to let the wind carry it. If he and Iku were truly meant for each other, something would tell him so.

[Iku]

Iku still starring downward. Getting the feeling that she was unwanted, she started to look up. Only to see Tyr's face, which didn't look so welcoming... She wanted to say something but she could tell that now wasn't the time. She had to change, she had to stop yelling at him for something that he had no control over... she knew...

"Tyr... I" She started to say...

Iku sighed trying to take a deep breath she looked at him again... She nodded, Friends was better than nothing, though thats not what she was going for... It was better than him hating her forever which would've probably happened if she didn't do anything. Iku still looking at him, knew she had to go, but she didn't want to...

"Friends is better than nothing" she said softly,

Out of the blue she then grabbed on to his shirt pulling him closly, hugging him. She didnt want to let go but she did. only because the expression on his face, him being tired, and like he didnt want to her to be there.

"I guess... I should leave" She said softly

[Tyr]

He gave her a squeeze when she hugged him.

"You make this look like you lost something." He said, "Neither of us lost anything, Iku, we just came to an understanding. You are and will always remain important to me."

He let her go when she pulled back, smiled and nodded to her.

Orlith turned her head slightly and watched as these things were occurring. After the exchange, Orlith touched Iku's mind, "I understand little about love between two-legged creatures such as yourself, Iku. But I do know that you are invaluable to my Rider and through him, you are invaluable to me."

[Iku]

And suddenly the winds started to change. She didn't feel like she didn't belong. She felt at ease, that there may be a chance, and if there isn't they both definitely care about each other. maybe not in the same sense. but they care, and who knows what happens. Iku looked at him slightly smiling at him. She wish there could be more she could do... but ... The time wasn't right.

"Thank you, Orlith, you are invaluable to me too, she said to Orlith 'I just hope, that things only get better'

Iku then noticed that one of the baby dragons were getting tired... too tired... so tired that the dragon was about to collapse. Iku then ran as fast as she could jumping off of Orlith, spreading her wings just as it was about to land on the ground dropping from a high distance. Catching the dragon in time... Iku landed softly with the dragon in her hands.

"are you ok little one?" she asked petting the baby

Kiara landed behind Iku

"Is she ok?" asked Kiara, telepathically.

"she's fine she just got tuckered a bit" said iku as she continued stroking the dragon

[Tyr]

Orlith saw what happened and dove down to join Iku and Kiara. "It is about time they ran out of energy. They have been flying the whole afternoon."

Tyr jumped off Orlith, worried about the young dragon, "That was still dangerous." Quickly, Tyr examined the dragon who fell. Satisfied that it was fine, Tyr looked up to check up on the two remaining hatchlings fluttering about. Unlike the one Iku was carrying, the other two look like they can still flying for hours. Tyr sighed, "That was a good save. Thank you."

[Iku]

'Indeed it was' said Kiara letting everyone hear.

Iku held the dragon close to her. She was worried about the baby being ok, but she knew it was just from exhaustion, but why is this one tired and the others arnt. Iku then looked at Tyr. She softly smiled and looked back at the dragons.

"it was no problem" she said softly

"I would say lets take them back to the Weyr but they are still full of energy" said Iku looking back up at the other two babies.

[Tyr]

"The flight back can change that." Tyr said, "Let's get these brats back to the Weyr."

Orlith let out a crooning roar when her rider said that they were going to return to the lair. The young fledglings, making barking and giggling noises, snorted but complied. Orlith waited for Tyr to mount once again before taking off.

[Iku]

Iku then looked at Tyr, holding the dragon. petting the baby dragon who was now catching her breath that was in her lap she then spoke.

"I'll go with you" she said standing up, then looking at kiara.

Kirara then layed down getting in postion for Iku to get on.

'Whenever your ready Iku' she said

[Tyr]

"Then let's go." Tyr then nudged Orlith after speaking. The silver dragon then launched herself onto the air and started for the direction of the Weyr. The two remaining hatchlings who were flying followed her begrudgingly.

[Iku]

Iku got on Kiara, with the baby in her hands. She followed Orlith and Tyr to the Weyr.

'I hope she's really only just tired and not something else' thought Iku as she and Kiara rode off into the sunset...
