Orlith shook her head, "No, we are only in estrus for two days. I agree with Kiara though, it should be longer so we have more time to locate a potential mate. Two days of being fertile, that's it."

Iku then realized what Orlith was saying. Two days WAS short for trying to find a mate. Hell, it took 2 YEARS for Iku and Tyr to finnally "mate" as they would say.
"Two days is awfully short, for trying to find a mate" Said Iku as she is no feeling a little guilty about having this whole mess that Kiara is in.
"Well is there any way we can find a mate for Kiara before hand?" Asked Iku trying to come up with an idea to help kiara.

"She can either mate a wild dragon or choose any of the males in the weyr. If she chose any of the weyr males then...you might have to bed their Rider out of instinct. As for wild males..."
"...they come and go as they please so..." Orlith ended her explanation. There was really little a Rider can do about the whole thing for it was only during the heat cycle that males put particular interest in their female counterparts. So much so that there was no way of negotiating.

Iku's heart stopped.
"Did i hear you right, bed another rider?" She said
The thought of being hormonal for two days was one thing, but having someone other than Tyr touch her was another. Doing it on instinct!?!?! meaning she couldn't let her morals or her logics get in the way! it was NOT going to pass. She wouldnt allow it. Iku then glared at Kiara.
"Well, I hope you don't find any other dragons that have riders interesting do you" She said with a hopefull voice.
Kiara snarled at Iku.
"You're lucky I dont at the moment, but in the midst of finding a mate, I couldnt tell you" Said Kiara

Orlith agreed with Kiara, "Logic really does not have any reins to hold back instinct at the peak of its potency."

Iku just sighed
"Oh great" She said putting a hand on her head
What could go worse? So heres what gonna happen to Iku.
- She was going to be horny for two days strait
- May possibly end up sleeping with another guy
- Will lose all logics/morals in her head
anything else? Iku prayed to god that there was nothing else.
"Is there.... anything else I should know?" Asked Iku a bit worried of what is to come yet excited at the same time

Orlith blinked her large opalescent eyes once at Iku then another at Kiara. It didn't seem like she missed anything else important.
"Nothing else that I know of. Remember that the whole weyr will regard this matter very closely. You will receive a lot of help if you ever need anything."

Iku then sighed. There wasn't really anything she could do. If she ended up with someone else atleast it would be for Kiara and Having eggs. If it were to bring more dragon's into the community, then fine. Hopefully it wont be too long or too serious. Though she didn't take lightly sleeping with someone else.
Iku then looked up at Orlith and smiled.
"This will be something new" She said.
Kiara growled, still moody she almost glared.
"For you and me both, sister" she growled
Iku then looked at Kiara.
"Well, Atleast Im not expected to have babies" Iku chuckled
