It was the next morning. Iku and Tyr had spent their "Night of Love" and Iku was in a good mood. She felt relived, in more ways than one. Iku Steered away from Tyr for a moment to say hello to her best friend and only dragon Kiara.
"Morning Kiara" Said Iku as she stretched.
Kiara then turned towards Iku, glaring at her. Tyr and Iku's night of love drove Kiara crazy. Kiara just 'hmpf' at Iku and looked away.
Iku blankly stared at Kiara. She didn't understand.
'Bitch' Said Kiara telepathically to Iku
'What what did I do?"
'You slept with Tyr last night' said Kiara with -_- expression
'How do you know that'
Kiara sighed
'When ever the Dragon goes into heat so does the Rider, whenever the rider goes into heat... so does the dragon' Snarled Kiara as she continued to growl
Iku stared at Kiara blankly. She could not believe what she just heard.
'Dosn't matter though, its almost mating season, you'll soon find out what its like'
Iku blinked 'Does that mean I'll....'
Kiara only nodded at Iku
'Yes, Iku you will soon find out what happened to me last night' glared kiara
Iku froze, she could not belive what she was hearing. Soon Iku will be in her room craving for the attention from Tyr,
'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO' Iku yelled in her head as she fell to her knee's

Orlith swooped around the mountain after dropping her Rider off to his work in the school. The Silver Dragon planned to snooze the day away until Tyr needed her again later on for their daily patrols that kept the Weyr safe. Upon arriving, Orlith noticed the familiar form of Kiara and, when she looked closely, her Rider, Iku. Normally, she would have ignored them but after last night, Orlith found her curiosity plucked.
She landed on a ridge just above the platform that Kiara stood on, "Goodmorning." She greeted both females with her usual air of authority.

"Good Morning to you too, Orlith" Kiara then bowed her head in respect.
Iku still somewhat traumatized, jumped at Orlith. Iku's fault for not paying attention to her surroundings. Iku then ran up to Orlith.
"Oh hello, Orlith, good to see you this uh... fine morning" said Iku nervously. Iku then paused for a moment. She paused as if someone just slapped her in the face.
"Wait, If you felt what I felt last night does that mean that .... Iku stopped, this was too much

Orlith extended the frills on her head in question as to why Iku just suddenly ran to her. When the Rider spoke though, Orlith understood.
"You made my Tyr very happy last night, Black Rider." Orlith crooned down at Iku, gently sniffing her hair. Tyr's scent on her was just proof or what happened last night.

Iku was embarrassed now, Before she knew it it seemed like the whole world knew! Before she even got a chance to say it herself! there was no point in saying it! EVERYONE KNOWS!!!. Iku could feel the blood pumping faster. Iku was speechless...
"So... um... Question... If Kiara went into heat because i did, then does that mean that mean you guys went into heat .... together?" Asked Iku curiously.
Kiara, being in the mood she was in, just sighed, almost growling.

At that, Orlith only blinked, not quite understanding the question.
"By heat you mean having the urge to mate? I did not know that humanoids actually go into heat as we dragons know it."

".... you know what i meant, What i mean! Say something like last night happens between me and Tyr, What happens to you two? " Asked Iku still wide eyed.
Kiara groaned again,
"No Iku, Me and Orlith do not mate each other" Said Kiara
"When Two Dragon riders mate, normally The two dragons mate as well, but in THIS case, Seems how me and Orlith are both Female, I am left to dry while your having a jolly good time" Growled Kiara
"But don't worry, you will soon understand" Said Kiara sighing again
"Thats what I'm afraid of" Said Iku as she sighed.
Iku then looked up at Orlith again. She felt like an ant next to her.
"So uh, what happens to you when me and Tyr uh... yeah" She asked curiously

Orlith shuffled her wing to get comfortable and sat on her haunches while Kiara and Iku threw comments back and forth. When asked, Orlith answered, "If I get the urge as well, you ask? No. I am aware of what my Rider is doing at any given time but I do not suffer like Kiara does." The Silver One was almost tempted to further with her explanation but she, herself, was not comfortable speaking about the fact that she was sterile and, being a rare Silver, she did not feel any urge to mate.

"So then...That means that its only you" Said Iku
"Words of Advice Iku, when mating season comes around, stay in your room" Said Kiara
Iku looked at Kiara. What she said Sent a chill down her spine. The fact that she would be craving for Tyr, like a dog in heat. That was not cool. She didn't want to be all over him, sure she loved him, and what scared her the most, what if Tyr isnt around, but some other guy is. would she want him too? The whole idea was driving Iku bonkers.
Iku laughed nervously,
"Change of Subject please" Said Iku
"So how are you this morning" Iku asked Orlith
There was no point in asking Kiara, because it was just plain obvious that she wasn't happy

"I am well, thank you for asking. Even more so after seeing my Rider so energetic this morning." Orlith let out a small sound that resembled some sort of a draconic chuckle.
She then studied Kiara for a moment and nodded in approval at just how well the young dragon has grown, "You are almost ready. That is very good since the whole Weyr have been looking forward for your first clutch. I do not think that apologizing for not being male to you would be pointless so I will just hope that you find a worthy male for both your mating flight and your first clutch."

Kiara sighed.
"Oh believe me, I can hardly wait" Said Kiara
It was true, she wanted to have baby dragons flying around, She didnt care the fact that a lot of people were waiting for her eggs. You could ALMOST say that her biological clock was ticking. Though she was disappointed that her rider just happened to pick a mate, that just happened to have a female dragon, but Kiara knew, that no one would make Iku happy the way Tyr does, So there really was nothing she could say or do about it. She would just have to find a wild dragon, and that would be it. For now all she had to do was wait.
Iku then suddenly looked up at Orlith
"Clutch? Wait Kiara is the one to be giving birth to the future dragon riders" said Iku with wide eyes

Orlith nodded her mighty silver head, "Yes, normally the Weyrleader's dragon is male and whoever the leader mates, or in your case, weds, the dragon of that female Rider would be the mate for the Weyrleader's dragon. The Weyrwoman's dragon is expected to be the mother of the whole weyr, laying the most eggs and contributing to the dragon population more than any of the other females. Had I been male, I would be Kiara's mate since Tyr has apparently chosen you as his. But that is not the case."
"The weyr expects Kiara to find a worthy male elsewhere because despite our strange situation, she still had to fulfill her duties. Duties that are instinctual." She explained.

"OOOOOOOOOO" Iku said excitedly
Baby dragons? and she thought Fire lizards were cute! this was going to be bitter sweet for Iku. First she has to go in heat with Kiara, THEN she gets to help kiara raise eggs. Or... watch anyways. Iku didnt know wiether to be happy? or scared from the mating season,
"I guess a few hours of having out of control hormones is ok, seems how it will bring more dragons to the Wyer"
"Um... Iku, Dragons are not humans, Dragons take about 2 days to find a partner" said Kiara
Iku paused....
"2 DAYS!?!?!?!?!?!" Iku yelled in shock

"Yes, it is such a pity that it is only two days. Most females don't locate a male within that time and that results to our current dilemma. We are so few." Orlith added to what Kiara has told her Rider.

Iku stood there eyes wide open.
"Does that mean that there is a chance of it being... longer?" Iku asked.
Two whole days... Iku could see it now. Being locked up in her room for two whole days. It was for sure, Iku was locking the door and hiding the key! Iku still couldnt get over that. 2 whole days!
"Hn... I think it should be a week" snarled Kiara
Iku nearly passed out thinking of being locked in her room for a week. Her face looked something like this "@_@"
