[Kida]

"GET OOOOOOOOUT!"

Kida barely dodged the skillet that went flying from the doorway, into the alley and at her head. Bec, fluttering his tiny wings beside her hissed. "I got out, I got out, damn it all!" For Chris'sakes she was in the alley!

"And don't think of bringing that thing or you back here!"

She flipped off the door as it slammed shut. "Asshole." she snorted. "I didn't want a damn job here anyway!" She started to storm off, back to the street, but stopped and wheeled back around. "AND YOUR FOOD SUCKS!" Hell, she didn't even like mexican food that much, why did she think that getting a job there would have been a good idea?

With Bec sitting on her shoulder she stuffed her hands into the pockets of her ripped jeans and headed for the main sidewalk. Asshole manager. Kida had left an application like any sane person, but when the had tugged her back into the kitchen to see what she could do, she was caught off guard. Bec was with her and technically that was a health code violation. So she'd put him in a bag and shushed him. It wasn't supposed to take that long anyway, she applied to be a waitress not a damn cook!

So after she'd burned two dishes and the guy finally gotten the point, Bec had gotten curious and fluttered out of the bag, wandering into the dining area. Some stupid chick had freaked out and Kida'd gotten an ear full. When she'd given the guy an ear full back a funny thing had happened....the sprinklers on the ceiling came on. Whoops.

Kida knew she was at fault for that, but the damn guy didn't have to throw a skillet at her! She harrumphed as she met the sunlight and slipped on her sunglasses. Kida looked at the other establishments on the street and contemplated whether she wanted to continue looking for a job or not. She sighed. "Where the hell are all the comic book stores?"

[Iku]

Iku was trying to get to the plains something. She just wanted to check up on Kiara. Though it was impossible to do in a town. As Iku was on her way, She heard noises. It sounded like a pan that was being either dropped or thrown. "Kyuu" Said Kimi, the green fire lizard on Iku's shoulder, Tilting her head sidewards. It wasn't long after when she hear screaming as well. Suddenly the screaming girl, Iku gave a sweatdrop. 'I wonder what happened here' Iku thought to herself. And from the looks of it, it wasn't a pretty site.

"um, Is everything alright?" Iku asked the woman before her.

[Kida]

Kida turned in the direction of the voice and a single eyebrow appeared over her sunglasses when arched. "Oh, yeah, just peachy." She jabbed her thumb back in the direction she had come from. "Unless you consider a murderous idiot with hormonal issues." She shook her head. "Yeah, it's all good. Just had a run in with the manager of..." Kida trailed off and had to glance at the front of the resturant. "Pistachio." She shrugged.


Bec neck stuck out and sniffed the air once he realized there was another firelizard so close. "Kyuu! Kyuu!"

Kida absently gave her little friend a scratch on the top of his head. "I sincerely suggest you don't eat there. The food is rank. And I didn't think anything that wasn't a smell could actually be rank, but it is." Through the dark lenses of her sunglasses Kida looked the girl over. "Haven't met your before. Name's Kida. Yours?"

As she waited for the answer she continued to look over the shops on the street. There were various places to eat, a lot actually, and a few random shops here and there. None that Kida really had any interest in at that moment. Jerks always had a way of taking the fun out of a whole damn day.

[Iku]

"Oh, my names Iku"she said smiling. Iku chuckled, as Kida referred to the cook. He always is a grumpy old man, Seriously when is he going to retire? he never was a good cook to begin with. Hell Iku made better Mexican food than he did and she DEFINITELY wasn't Mexican. "Yes, he was suppose to retire ages ago" Iku chuckled.

Iku then noticed the fire lizard poking his head out. "Aww how cute, whats your name she said smiling" Kimi then crawled ontop of Iku's head "Kyuu" She cutely said. But Iku didnt mind kimi being on her head. Infact, it was almost a normal thing. Kimi liked to feel ... big

[Kida]

Kida grumbled and muttered under her breath. "Yeah, I'd like to retire him alright." Hell, Kida could barely cook at all, had burned those two dishes. Yet she still would stake her life on the fact that her food was better than that guys. Rank, rank, rank!

"Nice to meet you, Iku." Though in her current mood it didn't exactly sound like it. "This little guy is Bec." She huffed. "Do you know of any decent comic, movie, or book shop around here?" Bec was so excited he was practically doing dance steps on her shoulder. Quickly she helped him regain his balance and gave him an affectionate tap.

[Iku]

Iku thought for a moment. Kimi still sitting on her head. "Well, There's a movie house just about that ways" She said pointing one way. "For book, i use the library, and as for comic shop" Iku paused, whats a comic shop. hell, she didnt know what a comic was. how the hell would she know where a comic shop is.

"Um. as for comic shop, i would have no idea" She paused, feeling a bit stupid about it, How many years have she lived her now. Though to this new person she could pull it off as if she was new but, Iku wasn't that type of person.

[Kida]

Kida sighed. A library would work for a few books, she guessed, a movie house too, but that all depended on their selection. But no comic store?! What kind of town was this?! How was she supposed to keep up on what was happening to Hellboy?! What if Hudson DIED in the next issue before she got it?! "Why is life so cruel...." She sighed again.

"Thanks anyway. I just might go check out those places. Hell, maybe I can get a better job there." Though stacking and ordering books all day long didn't exactly sound thrilling it would be a source of income. And as she thought before, they just might have a decent selection of books. The movie house? Blech, no thanks. She didn't want to shell out tickets and popcorn to people for hours and hours on end and then go home smelling like said popcorn. The mexican place would have been better than that.

"No comics....My life just might end."

[Iku]

Iku sweatdropped, she felt bad that she couldn't help. But what was she to do! how was she supose to make a comic book store when she didn't know what a comic was. And when she said that her life might end because of no comics, Iku's eye's widened. There were plenty of things to do. Lots of exploring! Iku still found herself lost occasionally.

"You've obviously having been here long have you?" Chuckled Iku

[Kida]

"Nope." Kida popped her lips to try and lighten her own mood. "I've looked around the cliffs and the sea, but haven't explored too much in the actual town." Not that there was much to see apparently. No freaking comics! She would try asking this girl if maybe there was a 'graphic novel' shop around instead. But from her expression from before Iku would either be as lost as before or think that Kida meant a porn shop.

Graphic meant pictures, damn it! She wasn't the one with the dirty mind, they were! Kida rolled her shoulders, then quickly made sure Bec was secure on her. "I don't suppose you know anything actually fun to do around here? Anything exciting to get the blood pumping? Adventure?" Hell, she'd take a haunted out house at this point.

[Iku]

Iku chuckled at the new girl. "I guess it depends on what type of adventure you're looking for, When I go looking for an adventure, I usually go look for Kiara and go for a fly" She said. And it was true, Iku hardly spent any time inside, reading a book or watching a movie. She always went exploring places with Kiara, and if she wanted her blood to pump, She go flying with Kiara. Kiara was her best friend and her better half. So why wouldn't she go with Kiara?

[Kida]

Again Kida arched a brow. "Kiara? Fly?" She guessed maybe she was referring to another, bigger dragon, but she couldn't be sure.

"Well, hell, I'd love to go flying, but unfortunately this little guy would never be able to carry my weight." Kida shrugged, then steadied Bec once again. "But, I mean, is there...any place of conflict maybe? A place for a brawl or a fight?" That idea was sounding better and better by the second. Maybe clobbering some people would make her feel better.

[Iku]

Iku thought again once more. hm... some where to brawl huh. When Iku wanted to brawl, she took it out on a tree. Being the Demon she was she killed tree's to relive stress. But that was because, if she were to take it out in martial arts, she would seriously kill someone.

"oh!" Said Iku raising a finger, "The martial arts class, they have an after school program if your not in the class"

[Kida]

As soon as the word 'martial arts' left Iku's mouth, Kida was already waving her hand. "Nah. In the class already. Boring, no challenge. I doubt anything of the after-school-special type would be very entertaining either." If Kida got edgey enough she might just go down town at night and start picking fights with people. That was no fun usually. Brawling was more fun if they started it and you ended it. Or, if it was just mutual.

"I mean....Is there any place that, oh....Sweet, nice young ladies should avoid? Some bar or something where people get pissed off and fight?" Wow, she was getting desperate. She sounded like a junky or something. Kida was making a mental note to go back and reread every book and comic she owned, rewatching all of her movies too. It would have to do if she couldn't find anything better.

Hell, she just might have to move before she'd even settled here.

[Iku]

Iku then thought again. This must have been the 50th time she'd had to think of her surroundings.

"hm, There is area 51" she said refearing to the bar that was way on the other side of town. Though Iku didn't think she would get much satisfaction there. Because little people went there to begin with but. If it worked, who would really care. It seem though, That all she wanted to do was beat the crap out of something. So area 51 was the only place she could think of.

"Kyuu" Kimi said brightly stretching its wings.

[Kida]

"Area 51?!" Kida laughed and Bec actually had to flutter into the air so he wouldn't fall this time. "What is it exactly? And pleeease tell me they went with an alien theme." Now that sounded interesting. She'd see exactly which spin off the place had gone with and then judge how well they'd done so. But that was hoping that they'd gotten their inspirationg for the name from one of her favorite comics.

Kida stretched out her arm so Bec could perch there instead and held it out so he could sniff at the other little dragon creature. "What's the little one's name, anyway?"
