Appearance/Clothing :: She has a cream-coloured hair, a pair of two gorgeous chest-nut brown eyes and fairly flushed cheeks. She wore this informal baby-blue, with ruffles that run along just below her skinny shoulders, the front lining flows freely up to the knees which continue around down to her ankle at the back. A pair of Romanian baby-blue sandals whose length goes all the way up to the middle of her thighs that completes the finishing touches of her traditional outfit.

Personality/Attitude :: Fang is a very polite girl who is always looking on the brighter side of everything. Despite the attitude anyone else shows her, she always shows kindness. Her generous nature, caring compassion, sympathetic heart and friendly manner are obvious as she kindly puts everyone else’s needs above her own. Basically, Fang’s a type of person who you wouldn’t seem to have any problems at all. She would always wear that warm, cheerful smile she used to have, even though her heart doesn’t seem to agree with it.

Ability/Weapon :: Born from the country of Ice, Xue Fang was trained and therefore expected to have control of snow. She can create whirlwinds, delusion and weapons out of snow. Swords, chains, bow and arrow, you name it and Fang can have it anywhere, anytime she wants. A very powerful offence combined with her unmatched defence which is the ‘shield of snow’, covering her entire body making it quite impossible for anyone to even make a single scratch on her during battles.

History/Background :: Since the beginning, even before the stars of the horizon proudly set their innumerable degree in the throne of the night, the unpopular clan of Xue had always served as the faithful guardians in the secluded country of Ice. Having the full control in the element of snow, the tribe was confident enough to secure the honour and glory their family had long earned from previous wars and consideration of the other neighbouring countries. This has been their way of living, thanks to the fairly sacred tradition of the Xues – the transferring of the souls.

The ceremony is held once every new moon, basically it rarely happens and when it does, huge amount of consequences are at stake. The process involves Eieru (E-ye-ru), the infamous Ice Spirit of the Xues, whose soul is said to be transferred to the next ‘Guardian Maiden’ of the tribe. Usually, but not most of the times, the sole heir of the family will serve as the vessel for the ceremony, thus providing him/her with an incredible degree of power that is believed to be unmatched.

Fang has been that living sacrifice. Since birth, she had already fulfilled her duty as the new vessel for the Ice Spirit. Day and night, her father would always train her not just to be enough, but to be the best the clan of Xue had ever produced. Yet some things aren’t that simple. At the age of 6, Fang still couldn’t control her abilities. She’s still struggling in turning the snow to whichever weapon she desires, let alone performing a deadly whirlwind that could set any village into ruins. Because of this, she nearly killed one of the high priests of their clan in attempt to practice her skills, alarming the whole country.

“Therefore, for the honour and glory of the Ice country, I guess I don’t have any choice left…” Fang’s father speaketh to the Council. “Do as you may and kill her, just make sure to leave no trace of that useless brat anymore. I’ve got no use to trash…"

Since then, she has become a dangerous threat to everyone. Given that their country is situated right across the higher region, where ice is most likely to form, Fang has all the advantage to wipe out the whole place in just a snap. Because of that, everyone in the village shunned her. Her father wanted her no more. The Council feared her. She doesn’t have any friends for they would avoid her. All her days, Fang was only respected because of what she has become, not what she ‘wants’ to become. She was highly favoured because she’s the prophecy fulfilled, not that she‘s a saint or something. She was only loved because she’s the ‘Ice Maiden’ of their country, not that she’s Xue Fang alone.

“W-what is pain? How does it feel to be hurt? Is it sad? Define sadness. Is it when people stop laughing? How about when they’re bleeding? Or is it when they start crying? I don’t know. How should I know? Since the snow is covering my whole body, I can’t hurt myself. I want to understand pain… so that when it’s over… I can also understand why people always smile…”

Xue Fang was born in this world only to take the life of the woman she was supposed to call ‘mother’. Since the beginning, Heia’s (Fang’s mother) the only person to accept her daughter, love her and believe in her. Even though giving birth to the ‘Ice Maiden’ meant her own life, she didn’t care at all. Because she believes Fang can do it.

Reason to DD :: Fang wanted to know the real meaning of her existence, more than what she was told of. That’s why when she heard of this place where people like her dwells, she enrolled right away hoping that it will serve as a better place than the country of Ice she came from.
