Name: Odessa Ann Mae
Race: Human
Age: 18
Class/Occupation: Warrior
Background: Odessa was born in the neighboring country of Keirs. She is the daughter of great lady general of the said country and grew up learning a lot of fighting techniques and tactics. In Keirs, Odessa was groomed to replace her mother one day. But even with her life planned out ahead of her, Odessa wanted to see other places than the military camps and experience things other than fighting and watching her mother command troops. She explored and got herself into trouble several times trying to strike out on her own. Odessa later learned that her father had been a pirate once before becoming a respected and highly decorated Admiral for Keirs’ navy. Odessa’s mother also told her that she was like her deceased father in so many ways, including her want and need to go out and live on the knife’s edge.
Odessa grew up with Takato Masaki, a young half-demon who had been his father’s protégé. They are a childhood buddies of sorts, much to Odessa’s annoyance of Takato’s manwhore-ish ways. Even so, Takato became a brotherly figure to her quickly and shared a weird and twisted love-hate relationship with him. Odessa learned a lot about her late father from Takato and was even convinced into joining piracy just a few years before deciding to move into the Domain since it was said that her father was once a pirate before he became an honest seaman turned soldier.
Personality: Odessa is a strong-minded young woman who also has a tendency to be violent. This violence is usually due to her fairly short temper, something that Odessa was sure she inherited from her also unpredictably violent mother. Though typically a hot-head, she is able to control her violent impulses by taking on sarcasm and living life as if it’s a joke. Her dry sarcasm’s usual target is her friends though even when her remarks seem cold and even insulting, she means well. Even though she considers herself a student of experience, Odessa isn’t the most energetic of people and some would consider her as lazy sometimes.
True to being a Lady General’s daughter, Odessa is a feminist to quite an extent and because of this she does not tolerate machismo, as well, marianismo at all. This is her pet peeve, the game of domination and submission between the genders. As far as Odessa is concerned, both are completely and utterly equal and this ideal reflects into a lot of her beliefs.
Weapon(s)/ Abilities: Odessa carries with her a rapier as her primary weapon and is very skilled in using it. She is also quite adept at close hand-to-hand combat but has yet to discover if she has a knack for anything magical.
Strengths: Odessa is physically strong due to her swordsmanship and military training. Her mental strength is through her ability to be resilient to problems and being able to hold on to her beliefs.
Weaknesses: Her weaknesses are not very apparent but they are substantial. A part of her tries to chase after her mother’s greatness and achievements yet this conflicts with her desire to learn more about the father she didn’t even know. This sense of being lost without direction really takes a toll on her resilience. She enjoys being out and about and experiencing things yet she is also afraid of it. Contradictions of her life are her greatest weakness. Physically, her lack of magical skills render her vulnerable to those do have them.
