Tottering her way towards the double doors to the canteen, Syani scampered across the room and quickly slides under the nearest large table she sees, grateful it's one of the few ones that has a tablecloth. The canteen's not particularly empty it seems, a few students could be seen enjoying their lunch, so she silently hopes nobody turns her in...
The door slammed open loudly, distracting anyone from their quiet midday meal. Syani bites her lower lip, sitting herself on the waxed floor and tries her best to stay silent. While she's busy slowing down the adrenaline inside her by taking long calming breaths, the dark-haired spotted an object lying there just beside one of the foot of the table.
It's thick, it's circular...and it was engraved beautifully with leaves and flowers around it. 'What's this...?' Flipping it around and around, the half-vampire guessed it's a sort of music box probably, but strangely, there's no carving of 'MADE FROM [insert place here]' anywhere around it.
Syani heard the doors slammed close, the mob that chased her for 2 straight hours had probably gone off by now...hopefully. Carefully, she tried to find the hinges, traced her delicate fingers around the golden vine-encrusted groove there, and slowly opens it. She only pushed it half-way up when it suddenly snapped open wide by itself a the music started.

The dark-haired girl stared in awe at the tiny figures there inside the music box, dancing and moving in a patterned way. Her eyes are wide, seeing the pair of man and woman there, holding each other and dancing with the tune the music box emitted.
"Aww..." She breathed out, touched by how saddened -in her perception- the melody sounded. She pulls up her legs, placed the opened music box on her knees and stared directly at the object, gently touching the moving pair of dancers with her fingers.
"I wonder who does this thing belongs too..."
