Kieru stopped at the bottom of Mount Rei and gazed up along the pathway towards the top. She took a deep breath, knowing full-well why she was here this time, then exhaled with her eyes closed. She opened her eyes again and moved forward onto the path that would lead her to the Weyr.
As she made her way, Kieru recalled the talks she had with the different riders she had met and her own personal days of training and thinking to restrengthen her body and prepare her mind for what was to come if she was accepted. The higher she climbed, the more she realized that her body was still pretty weakened. About two thirds up she nearly wanted to drop down and rest. However, she knew it wasn't that much farther and she could make it without needing a break.
When she finally reached the entrance, she paused there. She wasn't certain if it was acceptable for her to enter on her own to reach the main area or if she should wait here for someone to allow her inside. She made a slow turn, scanning the skies for any sign of another person who might assist her in that and didn't find anyway. So, facing back to the entrance, she slowly entered.
Kieru carefully made her way along inside to find the area she was in before, trying to avoid being hit on any side by any person or dragonkind that may be moving about.
Finally reaching the area Taichi had led her to before, Kieru let out a small breath of air. She somehow felt like she was not supposed to be here alone right now. She looked around the area from where she stood.
As she looked, she recognized the door that led to the room she had spoke with Tyr in before and walked up to it. With another breath in and out, she lifted her arm and knocked, wondering if he was even in here and if there was a chance of her joining today or sometime soon.
