Roy slowly walked up the castle steps to get to the big portal that would lead him inside. He went to this place because he missed the adventures he had during his journey. Somewhere he had heard of this old castle and knew right then that he HAD to check it out. The sound of his foot steps got louder because he was increasing his speed to get to the big portal faster which seemed to grow more and more with every step. When he finally reached the top he drew his sword, because you never knew....
He opened the big portal slowly which made an incedible loud noise. He stepped inside of it... "Awesome..." he said slowly while looking around and taking a few steps inside...

Hearing somebody had entered, Syani took a look down from the chandelier she's sitting on...
"HEY!" she called, with an arm waving, "What's up?! ^__^"
Getting off, she jumped down as her cloak flared up in a fury of red. Landing right beside this new person, the half-vampire grinned, "You must be a new student!! ^^"

At first Roy was scared to death when he heard Syani`s voice all of the sudden, but he calmed down pretty fast as he saw a girl with a very nice smile on her face landing besides him. "Whoa! You scared me. Are you.. are you a vampire ?" he asked blinking with suprised eyes. He totally overheard her words of welcome because of her unusal appearance.

Syani blinked unbelievably at this new person, as her smile turns into a girn, "Holy, you can see I'm a vampire with just a single look?! XD That's awesome!!"
Outstretching her hand for a handshake, the half-vampire smiled widely, "I'm Syani! I'm a half-vampire, half-human. So don't worry, I don't drink human blood! ^^ What's your name?"[/b][/font]

"Ummm" Roy needed a few seconds to catch himself and then answered: "Well, I am in a dark old castle and you sat on a chandelier and flew down right next to me, so it just popped into my mind that you are a vampire" he smiled.
"But I didn`t know that you are a half-vampire. But it is good for me that you are one, right ?" He wanted to shake her hand but realized that he has still his sword in his hand. "Oh, I`m sorry" He put it away quickly "I didn`t know what would await me in here" he said grinning while scratchign the back of his head and finally shook Syani`s hand "My name is Roy, nice to meat you!"

Syani stared at him with her starry eyes, "Very perceptive of you! I'm impressed! XD"
She giggled as Roy tried to shake hands with her using his sword, "Hahah!! And funny too. ^___^ I think I'm gonna like you, Roy!"
After the intro between the two is done, Syani rests her hands on her hips and turns her attention to the darkness that awaits them, "I might as well join you. Shall we?"[/color]

Roy was looking at the giggling Syani and felt slightly embarassed. But somehow her giggling made Roy feel very happy inside.
He followed her eyes looking into the darkness in front of them and answered "Sure why not, giving company to each other would be nice!" he smiled. But then he realized that Syani doesn`t have any weapons with her "Say, why don`t you have a weapon ? Don`t you think it could be dangerous in here ?"

"What?" she asks back as she looked around her cloak for any weapons, then slapped her head slightly as in she just remembered something,"Oh! No, don't worry about me!"
Opening one side of her cloak, she revealed to Roy the numerous numbers of vials stored inside there, too small to break if she suddenly got smashed to a wall or something, "I may not be a warrior, like you! ^_^ But I'm sort of like a sorceress...a mage, maybe. My potions are my weapon. My imagination is my weapon. ^__^"
Facing back the darkness, the half-vampire grinned, squinting her eyes, "After you, oh brave and funny knight~", and joking bows, motioning her arm towards the darkness for him to take the first step.

Roy was watching the potions in her cloak with big eyes. It´s rare for him to see somebody who doesn`t fights with ordinary steel weapons. Of course he has seen some very interesting fighting styles but THIS was totally new for him.
"Wow.. pretty cool, I can`t wait to see you in action" he smiled.
Syani was telling him to move on with her funny attitude. But Roy decided to continue this nice talk with his new companion.
"Hmm...I would.." Roy started and was looking and the chandelier where Syani was sitting on and then looked back to her "but I was tought that ladies always come first before men" he shrugged "And I always stick to my principles, so I think its your part to take a first step"
He smiled, made a slight bow while he was watching her and was pointing with his arm into the dark passage like she did before.

Rolling her eyes, the half-vampire honestly expected that...as it's coming from a knight. Usually, she'd hate these sort of 'ladies first' thing, as she believes everybody is equal.
"Actually, Sir Roy, that didn't surprise me," Syani tried her best not to say that too dryly, "But, you SHALL see me in action."
Wearing a mischievous smirk, Syani took the first step towards the darkness, pulling out a small vial in her hand and glanced back at Roy, "If you're afraid of the dark, I'll give you the light."
After saying those set of words, she opened the vial and pour the liquid there on her left hand. After a moment, her left hand glows bright, like light.
"Well, come on!" smiling, she speeded her way to the darkness with her left hand extended.

"Ah..." Roy opened his mouth to say something but didn`t really know what to say. That wasn`t actually an answer he expected.
"Remind me next time to forget about my politeness!" he said, crossed his arms and tried to sound angry but he didn`t think it worked very well.
He was watching Syani while she poured the liquid on her hand. Roy was very curious about it and wondered how it would feel to have a shining light in the palm of his hand. But after Syani`s comment he forgot about it very fast and answered "Oh.. great, now I am afraid of the dark too ??"
He catched up with her pretty fast "At least you are saying what you are thinking, I like that." he grinned. "But I hope my attitude won`t annoy you that much-"
All of the sudden the sound of a braking object came out of the dark in front of them.

Laughing as his respond about reminding him to loose his politeness, Syani just grinned, "I'll be glad to, Sir Knight," she replied jokingly.
As they ran into the darkness, they heard something sounded like braking. The half-vampire quickly extended her glowing left hand in front to see what it is...

Roy was running next to her and drew his sword to be guarded against whatever will await them. Then suddenly a broken chandelier appeared in Syani`s shining light. Roy stopped.
"Huh? Did this one fell down from the ceiling?"
Roy was looking up but couldn`t see anything in the darkness. Then he noticed that he and Syani were already in another big hall.
"What could`ve happened here ?" Roy wondered and turned to Syani "Are more people like you in this castle ?"

"Well...I don't know! I just got transported here on top of a chandelier second before I saw you!"
Her right hand searches frantically for something under her cloak, and finally pulls out on what seems like a glowing liquid in a tiny bottle and quickly grabbed his hand, putting it inside his grip, "Here, put some drops in your eyes, it'll make you see in the dark. I'm--"
Suddenly, the floor let out this nasty crack, and before she knows it, Syani is falling down and down under, "GYYAAAAAAAAAAA~!!"

Everything happened so fast. Roy was looking at the potion in his hand and then suddenly the bottom beneath Syani was falling apart. Roy was reacting immediatly and tried to grab her somehow but he couldn`t reach for her anymore so he turned forward until he was also falling into the dark pit. At the same time he was throwing the little bottle behind his back so that he could draw his sword and stab it right into the stone wall of the dark hole that appeared beyond them. And then finally he reached out with every cell of his body to get somewhere a hold of Syani. When he grabbed her hand he cried out in pain because of the weight that was tearing at his arms while was was hanging between his sword and Syani.
"Damn!" he gasped "that was..... close!" he bit his teeth together to stand the pain that flashed through his body. If that wouldn`t be already enough a screaming sound of steel could be heard while the sword was slowly moving where its stucked into the wall and Roy was losing the grip of Syani`s hand more and more.
"Syani!!!"
