Iku was running threw the forest gasping for air. It was mid day, when her strength was not at its highest. Her strength usually came from the moon and the pitch black sky. But today it was the burning sun piercing threw the tree's. It was hot the sweat dripping down her face. Iku then quickly hid behind a Tree, Letting the poachers run past her. They didnt even notice. Iku then opened her back, The injured Fire Lizard rested there.
'This is no safe place for Fire lizards anymore' She thought to herself. Iku cursed herself.
"Damnit" She cursed softly, for the baby fire lizard was the only one she could save out of the nest of 6 dragons. She only wished she could have saved more. But in her stance she felt weak. Like a helpless girl. She is the Weyrwoman and only saves 1 fire lizard. Suddenly Iku heard some yelling. As if the poachers themselves were lost. Luckily for Iku she's wondered these parts more then enough times to know this place by heart.
Iku suddenly felt a bit surrounded, there was voices coming from every direction. Where is Kiara when you need her. She's at home, watching over her eggs. Which is a good thing, but couldn't that damned mate of hers watch them for a second!?!?!?! Iku then jumped up towards the trees, hiding herself once more. And as she thought they all came from every direction. Iku then sneered, at the dreaded people.
Funny thing was they were all men. "Men" she grumbled. Figures that they would do something like this. Iku was starting to get really irritated. She couldn't do much, because of the sun, draining her ability to control her power/strength.
Iku could control herself until they started discussing what they were going to do with the dead ones they had caught. And it was as if someone had lit a fire under her ass. She was pissed. Her hands clenched tight as her electricity started to form around the fist. If they do anything to those dead fire lizards they would burry them! Iku then unsheathed her sword. Electricity crawling up and down the blade. She then jumped down Swinging at one of the poachers. Only to slice his head off. She glared at the men, who seemed too scared to move.
Iku charged towards another of the men. Thats when one of them grew some guts. and decided to block her moves. Fighting back the little strength she had. What did she get herself into. though you would think that the electricity would atleast hurt him. But now, it wasn't more than a soft pinch to him. Iku gave him one last shove, making him fly backwards running as fast as she could.
Little did she know that the sparks she had spawning off of her... had started a fire......

Roy was running through the forest. the sun burning in his neck and the sweat all over his face. But he didn`t care. He hasn`t got out of the school much these days. And currently he was just feeling good... for once. The heat was terrible, thats for sure. But other than that he wasn`t thinking about a certain person again that devours his mind and other vital organs.
Roy made his way through the deep forest trying to keep everything in his mind. Its a good training to train your skills in not getting lost. Making his way up a hill he grabbed onto some roots to pull himself up. Thats when he heard several voices for the first time. 'Shouldn`t this place be a quiet and relaxing area ?' Roy thought as he made his way up. He has heard that around this place lay some dragon nests so there shouldn`t be anyone living here actually. But before he could think any more of it he reached the top and had a full view over a crowd of people surrounding a woman and.... fighting noises?!
Roy immediately threw himself in the bushes before anybody noticed him and watched the scene. "These guys don`t really seem to inspire confidence....what?" Then the girl run out of the scene she seriously seemed to be in trouble and next to that a fire suddenly inflamed on the dry ground.
"That can`t be good!" Roy stood up and started running to the right. The girl also choose this direction with the guys following her. After a short amount of time he caught up with her. Luckily he was approaching the girl and couldn`t see any of their pursuers in his back. "Hey!! You!" he called out to her. "What did happen to you? Are these guys hunting you down?" Questioning the girl he was already behind her now. Instead of making a nice appearance he better should have wondered about how to show the girl that he isn`t one of her pursuers.
But then it was already too late.

Iku finally broke free of the poachers. Catching her breath leaning over. She then checking her bag. Making sure that the Fire lizard was ok. She was worried, he didnt look so good. Suddenly Iku heard a voice from behind her. Yelling about people and blah blah blah. She didn't even have time to check on the Fire lizard and now someone else is chasing after her. Iku didnt have much time to react. Nor check to see if it was a person on her side or not. So she did what every normal person did. Iku clenched the hilt of the sword. Preparing herself for a trap or an attack of some kind. She took a deep breath as she sensed him walking closer and closer. He had placed his hand on her shoulder. Thats when she did a complete 180 turn. Pointing her sword at the man.
Iku stared at him for a moment. She knew him. She glared at him. keeping her stance. You never can tell what kind of people you meet until you catch them in the act.
"So you're part of this whole thing too?" Iku growled. She wasn't the trusting type right now. She just watched a whole nest of Fire lizard slaughtered. How could she be expected to trust anyone. The only one she felt on her side at the moment was, Tyr and the other dragon riders. Iku continued her cold glare.

Roy was waiting for some sort of reply but all he got was and instant turn and he faced a rather serious expression of a person he knew. Next to that the blade of a sword flashed up. Normally he would reach for his own weapon to defend himself. But in this case he did not intent to hurt the person, next to that, she was a girl! So all he could do was quickly grabbing for her arm to avoid her sword "Whoa!" and then took a step backwards to reach some distance.
"Watch it who you are going to hurt!" Roy said in defense and got confronted with the accusation of being part of that group. "Part of what? I just got here and saw you fighting with those guys. I totally have no clue whats going on here!" And then he finally remembered. That girl is Iku! He met her once at the lighthouse together with Ayame. But looking into her serious face it didn`t seem like she would recognize him. Sure, he wasn`t one of the interesting people you would remember anytime. But seeing that beautiful black hair of hers Roy didn`t doubt that it really was Iku.
"I just came here to help. But I didn`t know that it was you Iku." he added hoping that she could remember.

Iku glared. She didnt trust him. not one bit. She just got out of a battle that she couldn't handle herself. He could be anything. Of course, Iku being the coutious one about these kind of things, It had never crossed her mind that he could be someone who actually wants to help her. Iku's heart ached for a second. This was the person who told herself that she wanted to change for the better. She wanted to trust people. Yet, in this situation, who could really tell/
"And how am I suppose to know that you're not with them" She yelled. She knew one thing, She wasn't going to check on the Fire lizard until she knew he was someone she could trust. Iku's body was weak. So weak that her body was starting to tremble. Damn the sun for weakening her powers. She took a deep breath trying to hoping it would help. But it didn't. It made her feel a bit weak. But Iku kept her stance. What dosnt kill you only makes you stronger.
"Well? answer me!" Iku demanded. Her time was running out. The fire lizard needed to see a healer or something. It needed help and Iku had no idea what to do. Not Only that Iku needed to round up some dragon riders to maybe rid the poachers and save the fire lizards before they all go extinct.

Roy heard her question as his eyes still were focused on the edge of her sword. Seriously she didn`t change a bit since that one meeting they had back then. She was piercing him with her eyes. Roy wasn`t sure about it, but somehow he got the feeling that she seriously was looking at him with hatred sparkling in her eyes. 'Oh great.. were did I fall into? Theres no way she might trust me in any way....'
Iku was weak. It wasn`t hard to notice that she even had a hard time with keeping herself on her feet. Roy looked around to be sure that the men still haven`t arrived yet. Did they probably lost track of them ? Roy wished for it. He really had no clue how he should prove his good intentions. He only knew that he has to bring her as soon as possible in a save area before she collapses.
"Hey... I really don`t know how to prove it." he finally answered after she asked for the second time. "But don`t you think that I could have already killed you if I really had intentions to harm you ?" And again Roy looked behind himself, he couldn`t get rid of the feeling that something was wrong.
Roy lowered his voice "Iku, please, I have no clue what these guys are up. But I do know that we are in serious danger if we don`t head off now." Now he even dared to make a step closer to Iku "You can barely stand.. and I don`t think I can deal with all of them."

Iku growled. He dosnt even know whats going on at the moment. And now he's coming up with a plan to run away. Iku shook her head as she sheathed her sword. Iku couldn't run away. Not now. She then remember that the Fire lizard needed attention. Iku turned around looking at Roy once more With eyes of pain. She couldn't turn her back on them now, Not when the fire lizards needed her so much. They had never needed anyone more so than right now. Iku was just glad kimi was at home.
"But I cant" She started to say. "I cant leave! The Fire lizards are being attacked by poachers!" Iku said angrily. Iku's body finally gave out and Iku fell to the ground. Her legs gave out for a minute. Iku then pulled her bag in front of herself.
"There was this nest of Fire lizards were attacked by those poachers, And they are still hunting!" She said unfolding the Fire Lizard. Iku didnt know how, but she had to get them out of here. She felt it was here duty to protect them.

Roy sighed within, he was really glad that Iku at least told him what was going on. It gave him the feeling not just to be a stranger who's blocking her path. She appeared to be more troubled than Roy thought. Then she collapsed in front of him. "Iku!" Roy stepped closer to her as she sat on the ground now.
He bit his lip and then kneeled down next to her "Now I understand....I was already wondering what these guys were doing close to the lizards nests.." He looked up to check the trees around them again. "But.. in your current state how are you planning to save them ?"
Roy was trying to think of a way out of this bad situation. He has seen like a dozen of these poachers and there are probably more... Its definitely the right thing to stop them. But...
He looked at Iku again who sat exhausted on the ground. "I am going to help you to stop them, thats for sure. But only... if you can guarantee me that you can make it through, alright?"

Iku looked up a little relieved. At least he understood why she couldn't just leave. As Weyrwoman and someone who takes care of Fire lizards herself. She couldn't just leave them. Iku wouldn't allow it. Iku would rather die here trying. Than walk away. Iku was proud like that. Too stubborn to give up. She always was a fighter, even when it didnt require fighting. Sometimes all it took was fighting herself. Iku nodded her head towards Roy.
"I can make it, I know i can" Iku said as she started to stand up. Once Iku stood strait, she was stable. One thing that Iku had, was will power. She never gave up on something she believed in...... never. Iku closed her eyes for a bit. As she heard a very familiar call.
"Kyuu, Kyuu Kyuu" she heard. It was the sound but not one but multiple fire lizards and it wasn't coming from the one in her arms. The fire lizard in her arms was calmly. Iku desperately looked around searching for a nest or just a flock of Fire Lizard. Something...
"Do you hear that?" She asked trying to find the source of the sound.

Roy stood up when Iku rise from the ground, watching her. She didn`t lie about it. she could hold herself together. 'Okay, then theres one thing less to worry about' he thought to himself.
Then the fire lizard sounds could be heard. The both of the were looking around but couldn`t find anything. Roy has never heard these sounds before and maybe it was because he had been focused on their pursuers too much, but only now he notices the little creature that lies within Ikus arms. Next to never heard one before he also hasn`t seen one before.
"Are that... fire lizards? Are they calling us ?" Roy asked Iku and tried to detect the direction where the sounds came from. then Roy turned around and saw a couple of bushes. "I think its over here!" he said and slowly approached the bushes.

Iku held the little Fire lizard tightly. And it seemed as though they were calling them She turned towards Roy who was asking if that was a fire lizard and if they were calling us. Iku nodded. Iku then turned towards the sound. Or atleast what she thought was the sound. She was getting close to something. She thought she found something, But suddenly it ran away. Maybe it was a diffrent fire lizard? or maybe another animal? Iku didnt know because she didint get a good glance.
Suddenly Iku was shocked by a sudden yell from Roy. She could've killed him. He didn't need to get that excited. I mean did he have to be so loud?
"Next time.. You dont have to scream so loud, You do remember there are poachers lurking about" Iku said as she then looked towards where Roy was pointing. And sure enough, it was a nest of Fire lizards. Iku quickly rushed towards the nest. And thankfully they were resting peacefully un harmed. But if she were to leave them their peacefullness wouldn't last very long.
Iku then sat there for a moment. How was she supose to save them if she couldn't carry them all. Well they were uninjured so maybe they could follow them flying. But where were they supose to go. So many questions running threw her head. And no answers. What was she supose to do.
"Now how to get them out of here" she asked herself aloud.

Roy was raising his eyebrows. "I wasn`t-" Okay, he would be better off if he just didn`t say anything he thought. Maybe his voice was kind of strong, but a scream still is something much different.
Roy looked down on the nest. "Two, four, six...six little lizards. Do you think they can walk ?... Or fly ?" Roy asked Iku "I don`t think theres a way to carry them if we are supposed to find even more... and don`t forget that there are these guys."
In the second he said it a branch cracked behind them. Roy turned around in a rush and placed his hand at the handle of his sword. "Who's there?" Roy was looking straight into the face of a muscular guy. The clothes and fur he wore definitely made him being a poacher. Not to mention the sparkle in his eyes as he saw the nest behind Iku and Roy.
"I warn you, don`t come any closer!" Roy said with a clear voice. But he knew that it actually didn`t matter, because theres no way they could let this guy escape now that he has seen the nest.
"Be good kids and disappear, you get in our way" the poacher replied with a rough voice.

'Fuck' Was the first thing that came to mind. She had just gotten to these Fire lizards and now a poacher is here right up their ass about it. Iku kept her back towards them. She tried to start a lightning ball. But she didnt have the strenght. Iku kept trying. Despreatly to get it to stay, but all she could get was a flicker. Iku then grabbed hold of her sword. Taking one deep breath.
"Why dont you do us a favor and go shoot yourself in the head" Yelled Iku as she stood up.
And with that Iku turned around with her sword out. Charging at the poacher. She threw a powerful swing only to be blocked, shoving her back. Iku was fustraited, as she then went after him again. She kept swinging at him. But her arms so weak they would loose speed. Allowing him to block or even move out of the way.
'damn he's good' She thought to herself. Trying to formulate a plan.
'Kiara, I could really use your help now!' she thought
"I'm a little busy right now!

Iku was charging first and confronted the poacher in battle. Roy stood next to both waiting for an opening. The only thing he knew though was that battle sounds really are something they do not need at all! Or it will only take minutes for the others to arrive.
Roy was waiting until the poacher finally showed his back to him and then Roy drew his sword hit the knob right in the poachers back and tackled him to the ground.
Sitting on the guys back now Roy held his blade close to his throat. "Okay, you`ll just stay quiet and now answer some of the ladys questions, do you understand ?"
"Pff, pityful" he grumbled.
"What was that ? I thought my orders were clear!"Roy hissed into the guys ear and pressed the sword against his neck. Then with a glance at Iku he showed her that this guy was all hers now.

The first thing Iku did was slap him across the face. She wouldn't have normally. But Iku was filled with so much rage she had to do it! So now that it was out of her system. Iku stood in front of the poacher. She was lucky that Roy was here. Or else she wouldn't have been able to do that. Nor would he be pinned to the ground.
"I have no question... Just advice...." She paused. "Run....If I ever see you here in this turf again, I swear to god i will kill you!" She growled. Yes at the moment she didn't have much strengths. But she will surely save up the strenght to kill him and anyone else who is invovled in it.
