Syani laughed nervously at Roy's comment, "This mansion was the only place both traumatic but safe enough for me at that moment..."
The half-vampire started running behind Roy, as they both followed her past self trying to open the gigantic master door after she passed the stairs. With one hand holding a dead rabbit and the other pulling a large door, it's impossible for her to do so.
So, little Syani scurried back towards the stairs, passing both the teenagers, reached the base of the stairs, and turned sideways. It's until she reached beside an old dead tree that she stopped and started digging with her fingers.
Just as she's done burrying Chibit, the master door flung open. Chibi-Syani quickly lets go of the soil as she hurriedly stand up, wiping her dirty hands behind her towards her clothing. Standing at the door, was a tall, beautiful woman with a lustrous black dress, though she didn't looked so pleased...
"SYANI!!" she yelled, her voice was shrill, but clear. Little Syani then sprinted her way back up the stairs, passing literally through the present Syani like Syani's a ghost and stopped in front of the lady vampire, standing completely straight while catching her breath.
"...Roy..." Syani whispered to the brown-haired boy in front of her, "...That's Dawn, my watcher... She observes everything that I do, and 'disciplined' me for every single thing that I did wrong...which happens to be everything, in her eyes."
Just as Syani ends her sentence, this Dawn woman slaps the little girl so hard it made chibi-Syani fell spinning to the ground. Witnessing that horrible smack, Syani's breath stopped short as she held Roy's right shoulder with both of her hands, peeking from behind him like a frightened child, "...I can't believe I'm still scared of her..."

Roy was watching that situation and grabbed the handle of his sword in a reflex "Too bad that we can`t interfere..." he said while glaring at Dawn. Roy was walking pass Dawn to get to Chibi-Syani, while walking he put his right arm on Syanis shoudler and leaded her the way so that Roy stood between Dawn and Syani while they were passing by to make her less afraid.
When they reached Chibi-Syani Roy kneeled down next to her to see if shes okay. "You really had to go through this your entire childhood ?" Roy asked Syani with a worried look on his face.

While Roy kneels down towards Chibi-Syani, the present Syani just stood behind him, watching them rubbing the back of her left hand, "Yes. Sort of... I used to play with Chibit to cheer me up...but now that he's dead, I don't know what else I would do to stop me from feeling sad."
Just as she's done saying that, Dawn marched in into the castle's large hall, yelling Syani's name as chibi-Syani got up on her feet and ran off to follow her watcher from behind, only to get another slap for running in the hall.
Syani sighed witnessing that, "...I know I've gone through those types of pain before, but watching a little child getting a smack right that from here is just...disturbing. ...But, going through things like that made me strong mentally...so I'm thankful it happened, I guess..."

Roy watched her with a worried look. "You know.. we don`t have to follow them if you aren`t feeling comfortable with it."
Actually Roy wanted to learn something about vampires for the case that Kaekeru would confront him. But Roy would not pay the price to see Syani suffering while experiencing her past again.
"So... what do you think ?" he asked her.

With a rather confused expression, Syani blinked at Roy, "What? Comfortable...? Heh, of course I'm not comfortable, but I've gone through this once before, so I can go again with a breeze! Don't worry about me."
Her smile was rather cheerful at the moment, "You're standing right beside me, I don't feel scared at all... Oh! C'mon! Dawn's taking me in the lab!"
Grabbing Roy's wrist, she pulled him to where Dawn and chibi-Syani are walking. The vampire woman gracefully walked towards the end of the hall, with chibi-Syani at her back.
Several women vampires could be seen around the hall now; some floating around, some are in the form of bats hanging from the ceiling, some are busy talking and laughing with each other...it's almost like a creepy demented all-girls family... But when chibi-Syani walked near their path, they snarled and hissed at her, some even took the chances and trip her off her feet. They giggled watching the little girl stumbled, then laughed some more when Dawn slapped chibi-Syani.
Syani sighed watching that again, "Man, I can't believe I'm that pathetic."

"I see" he replied to Syanis first statement and slightly blushed when he heard that Syani wouldn`t be afraid next to him. Then he already got pulled into the hall by Syani.
His eyes widen when he entered the hall and was watching all these vampires talking, laughing or flying in the room. Judging from the look he wouldn`t assume that the are dangerous in any kind. If there wouldn`t be the big shadows from the bats the hang below the ceiling caused by the big chandeliers. Next to that the way they treated Chibi-Syani revealed there true self.
"You aren`t" Roy replied to her "They marvel in their pretended own greatness and don`t realize how pathatic THEY are" he judged them with a selfconfident voice. Then he continued to follow Chibi-Syani "Come" he whisperd to Syani.

Syani turned and stared at Roy in awe as he state his thoughts about the vampires. When she's about to say something, he already started walking, following chibi-Syani.
Syani quickly followed behind him and casually said, "Dude, you're in your awesome sage-ish state again. Keep doing that and I might adore you," it's hard to tell by her tone if she's joking or not, as her expression is hard to read at that moment...
Dawn pulled chibi-Syani down into a door towards the basement as they walked down the stairs. The stairs are extremely steep, and with no safety grails beside it, chibi-Syani literally has to sit and climb down the stairs one by one, pulling herself down one step and sat on it, then do it over and over one at a time.

Roy was following Dawn as he heard Syanis comment. He couldn`t judge if she was serious or not. He just closed his eyes smiling and put her words at a safe place in his heart. When he opened his eyes again they reached stairs which were leading downwards. Even when Chibi-Syani was very slow Roy only walked as many steps as she did. "Do you know where we are going now?" he asked Syani while turning his head to her.

"Wow, I never thought to see the same stairs again..." Syani muttered under her breath as Roy started climbing down the stairs. The half-vampire too, started climbing down, though she don't know if they'll get hurt if they fall off since they're like spirits in this place...
"To the lab" Syani flatly answered Roy's question, "That's where they're trying to figure out what kind of half-blood am I..."

"Find out what kind of half-blood you are?" Roy asked a bit nervous. "That doesn`t sound nice......" he continued walking behind Chibi-Syani. "What is the diffrence between half-bloods? I mean, what are they trying to find out ?"

Syani shrugged as chibi-Syani finally reached the base of the stairs, "Oh no, I like figuring out what kind of half-blood am I, 'cause all the pureblood vampires said I'm only half a vampire, so they're trying to find out what's the other half of me. ...It's just that, I hate how they did it..."
Dawn leads Syani onto an area of the basement, where large machines with wires could be seen. There's also a tall table covered in white sheets with a few belts on it as strappers in the middle of the circle of machines, "Come on, Syani. Up you go."
And with that, she lifts chibi-Syani up on that table. Noticing this, Syani alerts Roy, "Oh, she's starting right now!"

Roy listened to her words while they both followed Chibi-Syani into the labor with the huge machines. He looked over to Syani and his face expression showed that he was worried. He wanted to say something but than already Syani alerted him that tehy were starting. He turned back again to Chibi-Syani who sat now on the table. Roy had a bad feeling in his stomache because of not know what will happen now.

After making chibi-Syani sat on that table, Dawn pushed her down and made her lay there, strapping the belts around her. While she's busy doing so, chibi-Syani quietly asks her, "When are you going to find out what exactly am I...?"
"Maybe if you won't scream again this time, we might find out what your other half is."
"I...I'll try."
Syani sighed as both her and Roy went nearer to the mini-lab, "Y'know what, I think they already know I'm half a human. This test...is just to figure out how to turn me into a full vampire..."
After strapping chibi-Syani, Dawn moved gracefully towards one of the machines, and pulls one trigger downwards, pushes a couple of buttons and clicked a switch. Some sparks of electric current could be seen around the wires as the machine generates the voltage through the wires that were connected onto the table...
Syani closed her eyes immediately as the current zapped right into chibi-Syani's whole body, electrifying the poor child. Though the little child told Dawn she tried not to scream, the high voltage was too unbearable for her as she screamed right away as soon as she's hit.

Roy listend to Syani`s words and watched how Chibi-Syani was prepared for the experiment. His stomache felt worse every second.
And then they started the experiment . The lightnings of the high voltage threw creepy shadows against the walls of the lab and chibi Syani`s screaming voice let Roy`s blood froze. His eyes widen, he clenched his fists and then he turned his head away. He couldn`t look at it. He couldn`t take it to see how Syanis older self is suffering.
He closed his eyes and the only feeling that he could detect in himself was hatred. Hatred that rose up from the dephs of his body. Hatred against Dawn and all the other vampires back in the hall. His only wish right at the moment was that he could just interfere and stop Chibi-Syanis suffering. His shoulders were shaking.

Dawn pulled a trigger up after a full 15 seconds of electricuting chibi-Syani and moved towards the child. Seeing this, Syani also stepped forward to take a glance at her younger self, then automatically closed her mouth with her hand...
Chibi-Syani was breathing through her mouth, her squeaky gasps was audible to hear. Her chest rose and fall continously, but the strapper across her chest made it hard for the child to breath in deeply. Her whole skin was red and her eyes are wide and watery, staring upwards blankly, "D...Did you...find out....what...am I..."
Her broken voice was saddening, but Dawn didn't seem like she cared at all as she pulled off the straps out of chibi-Syani's red skin, "I don't know, Syani. You did screamed, you know?"
"...I'm....sorry..." a few tears ran down from her eyes as she tries to sat up from the table...
