"Eh? What guys?" Syani spun her way to where Roy was staring at, and immediately gasped. as in literally saying, "GASP!!", backs away, grabs Roy by the arm and tries her best to pull him with her to run away from the men. "It's my mob, it's my MOB!!" It's hard to tell with her tone whether she's excited or freaking out....or maybe both?
"Run, run, RUN!!!" Remembering the mob only targets her and not Roy, Syani lets go of his arm. "Wait, I'LL run, YOU just...well, do whatever you want, just don't follow me or they'll chase after you too!" She quickly concluded before sprinting off energetically, her red cloak swished behind her as she ran. [/color]

As Syani dragged Roy along he still tried to understand what was going on since she was that excited... or freaked out. Roy couldn`t really detect how Syani actually felt. Then as she told him to stop the scales fell from his eyes.
"Oh, Right!" he said and hit his right fist into his left palm as he watched Syani running away from him now. "How could I be so slow to notice something obvious like that? They are carrying pitchforks and they are after Syani. The typical horde of farmers who are after vampires."
Then he turned around to face the approaching crowd. If they are after Syani then they would have to get past him first, thats for sure.

Syani kept on running...and running, and running. She felt strange as there's no one yelling 'VAMPIRE!' at her yet, so she turned her head over her shoulder to take a look. The sight made the half-vampire screeched to a stop, almost falling over her own cloak when turning around and slapped her head for good measures.
"Dammit, this is ROY I just left off with my mob, not Shun!" With that realization, Syani skidded back towards her friend, who's now standing ready near the group of men. When comparing Roy with this other guy who she kept leaving him off with her mob, Roy's actually the exact opposite of Shun. Shun would just naturally made way for the mob to chase her, wave her off from a distance and wipe a tear from his 'my baby's growing up' moment...but Roy...
"...Note to self. Never be selfish ever again."
"Halt men, HALT!" A large man with black beard at the front line of the mob stopped the others as he approached Roy, who seemed to be standing his ground. "Make way, lad! We're hunting." He stated with a rough voice, the pitchfork is secured in his large grip.

Not aware of the fact that Syani was already on her way back to him again Roy glared back at the leader of the mob. He would have turned around to check if she already managed to disappear but that wouldn`t be very smart.
"Hunting... yeah, I can see that." he replied with a calm voice. "What about looking for somebody who has the same high as you?"
He knew that this group was way to big to handle for just him alone, but first, he was sure that they wouldn`t run berserk on a non-vampire and secondly, he sure can keep them busy for a while.

"Wait, wait!!" Syani skidded her way towards the men as she called for them to wait, then quickly make herself acquantainced with the mob, standing a distance just behind Roy, before placing her palms on her knees to catch her breath for a bit.
"No..involving..innocents...!" The half-vampire cried between her breaths, and after one long inhale, she stood up straight and pointed a finger at the chief of the mob. "Your father's grandfather's father promised me that! And I believe his generations that follows after that was supposed to hold on to that same promise!" Syani continued, popping her head above Roy's shoulder and tried her best to glare at this huge man.
With a grunt, the chief of the mob snorted at her. "And how am I supposed to believe that my great, great grandpappy said that??"
Syani's angry expression morphed into annoyance. "Even if you DON'T believe it, it's the right thing to do! What is it with you guys ramming everyone that aren't even involved in this?? They're innocent! If you want me, then only target me, don't bother with the others!" She dared raised her tone of voice as she tries to reason her way out of this argument, stepping up her way beside Roy with her hands acting up on themselves as she raised a tight fist to the chief, truly wanting him to see that she's serious about this.
That is...until he suddenly caught her wrist.
"Agh!!" Syani screamed shortly, mainly out of her sensitive-touch shock. Then it hit her that she just made herself too easy to catch just now...and sweatdropped at how slow she managed to grasp that bit of obvious fact.
"Caught you."
The men behind the chief cheered loudly...as after decades, they finally caught the slippery vampire who owed their family a huge amount of blame. After YEARS of generations taking over their old man's hunting tradition...and it's only NOW that they caught the evil blood-sucker named Syani.
"But...but that was totally unfair!! I was distracted...!" She cried out...almost seeming like she just lost a winning-streaked game by her tone.

Roy witnessed the whole scenery that was playing in front of him. He was surprised that Syani could actually TALK to these guys without getting pierced with a dowel immediately.
Even though he had a feeling that he should do something he couldn`t think of anything.... and then Syani technically gave herself as a present to the hunters. Roy felt like facepalming. How on earth was he supposed to do anything to help her now ?
'Syani... that was so...'
Because of that hilarious situation Roy had only one idea to get out of it since simply talking wouldn`t help at all.
So he pointed behind the mob and yelled at the empty path "What the hell is that?!"

The second Syani heard Roy's outburst, it didn't even occured to her that he's just pretending to see something behind the mob...that's why she joined the men to look what it is. She even tried standing on her toes to look far past the tall men... It took her a while to notice the mob in front of her all looking at the back, and she blinked....then mentally slapped herself on the head.
'Darn my cluelessness...'
Her eyes quickly darted at her wrist where the chief held quite strongly even due to the distraction Roy caused. She gulped, contemplating whether to do this 'forbidden move' in front of Roy or not. And so, she did the same thing Roy did with the mob. "Holy prinny!! Roy, look up there, AN ANGEL!!!"
She doesn't know if that attracts Roy to look up or not, but it did made the mob changed their attention up to the sky. So with that, she lift up her knee and kicked square on the chief's-- ...well, let's just say it made him stumbled down cringing in immeasurable pain.
"Run, dude, RUN~!!!"
Grabbing onto Roy's arm, the half-vampire then sprinted off from the mob.

Roy couldn`t believe his eyes as Syani made no efforts to free herself now that this lame trick actually worked. He was about to whisper to her to finally get her attention or they seriously are in trouble if the mob turns around again noticing that they were being tricked. But then Syani already started yelling at the sky.
Roys face expression was literally saying 'What the-?' as he saw what Syani was doing. 'That lame trick luckily worked ONCE, but TWICE? Why on earth would she-' Then he close his eyes in empathy as he saw the answer for his question right in front of his eyes.
Being pulled with Syani Roy started to speed up. Since their was only one way they could take they had no other choice than entering the Garden of Dreams again. Arriving at the fountain Roy was reaching for Syanis shoulder causing her to stop. Breathing heavily he was looking around at the many different paths each one heading into another direction. Roy couldn`t even remember which way they took last time.
"Okay!" Roy said between his breaths "Choose one! Quickly!" With the roaring of the mob coming closer closer every second.

Braking sharply when Roy holds her shoulder, Syani eyed each and every possible passage they could take. Roy asked her to choose, which alerts her, as she averted her eyes from one path to another. "Uh..." Due to the screams and yells from the mob, this drives the half-vampire to just run towards a random way and entered towards the path on the right.
She doesn't turn around to check if Roy's following behind her as she speds though, her eyes focused in front to see where her randomly-chosen path is heading to. The first thing she noticed are the massive increase of trees at the sides of the path, and this, in turn, made the whole road a little bit darker. 'Perfect! Easy to hide up there!' Syani smiled, chose a tree and spins behind her. "Roy! Lift me up!!"

Syani decided for a path very fast and Roy immediately followed her which wasn`t that easy since Syani really was running. She didn`t even look back. Roy did though. He wanted to check on their pursuers and if they might see which path they had been taking. But he couldn`t see them.
Following Syani through a slowly growing forest path she suddenly left the path to reach behind a tree and demanded for a lift. Roy was kind of worried and asked "Shouldn`t we run a little deeper first and hide then ?" But still he reached out his hands to give her something to step on.

"I can't do that, they'll be thinking the same thing." Syani answered while placing one of her feet on Roy's hands. Quickly settling both her hands on the tree and Roy's shoulder each, Syani jumps up as quick as a flash and grabbed a sturdy branch before pulling herself up quite easily...which doesn't fit her initial damsel in distress image at all. Probably her survival instinct boosts up her stats when being chased by the pack of mobs.
"Come on." After sitting down on the branch, Syani bends down to offer Roy a hand. "I'll pull you up." She could hear the yelling and screaming now, and it's getting closer. "Hurry!"

"Yeah, your probably right.." Roy answered as Syani was climbing up the tree. He couldn`t deny that he was feeling a little awkward when she stepped on his shoulder and the rim of her cloak reached his face. He immediately stared at a single grass stalk as it would be the most interesting thing at the world right now just to avoid that his eyes accidently trailed off in a certain direction.
Syani had been climbing up very fast actually, but since their adventures at the Creepy Steeple Roy was used to her skills in dangerous situations. Then she reached out her hand and Roy starred at it. "Umm, you know that I am kind of....maybe a little bit heavier than you ?" But before he could explain his worries the mob was already approaching in a near distance. "Stay on the tree!" Roy whispered to her while he was taking a few steps backwards into some bushes and his green tunic merged with the leaves.

The half-vampire pulled up her hand at Roy's reason, and just stayed up at the tree, almost hugging the tree bark in a way as she pull up her legs to avoid them looking up the tree. The stampeding noise is getting louder and louder until they're moving exactly under the tree.
The mob, along with the chief at the front, just ran to the front, not even stopping to where Syani and Roy are hiding, yelling "She must've went deeper!!" And off they went, until they're yelling and screaming had finally diminished.
After peaking out through the leaves of the tree and making sure the mob is no where near them anymore, Syani laughed lightly. "I told you!" She looked down in search for her friend. Though she can't even see where Roy is at the moment, the half-vampire still grinned down, "Thanks Roy."

Roy sat in his hideout ready to react if anything unexpected happens. But the mob, just like Syani said, ran past them without any doubts. Roy smirked, but in order not to take any risks he didn`t move for some more minutes.
When Syani called out for him he revealed himself though. "Why do you thank me ? It was your idea after all" he smiled. "Now we just have to get out of here before they get any weird ideas" Roy continued and reached out a hand to Syani to make it easier for her to jump down again.

"Well yeah...but you stood up against them back there. That was, kind of...brave of you, I guess. That's also the first time anyone...you know..ever stood up for me..and uh.. And...well..THANK YOU, okay??" Clearly, Syani can't even form a correct sentence when it comes into thanking somebody...and stating a reason for it. She's not used into doing this often, that's why it proved to be so difficult to her.
The half-vampire smiled at Roy's outstretched hand. It made hew wonder why is he being so nice to her...when she clearly almost killed him, when they first met to make it worst! And still, he's right there, lending a hand. She can't help but to smile when thinking about it, until...
Loud chirps woke her from her thoughts. Syani looked around the tree, and sure enough, she spotted a branch there with a bird nest on it. But...it looked rather unstable, especially when supporting new-born little birds there. Her guess turns out to be right when one tiny bird, who looks too young to even flap its wings, fell off the nest...
Syani's rather famous for her jumping-straight-into-danger-mode when she was young. It seems like she didn't change one bit, as without even a single thought, the raven-haired just jumped off the branch she was sitting on, straight into the air, just to catch that one single bird. It relieves her to feel that tiny feathery little bob safely inside her palms...but still.
"Whoaaah!!"
